Was hoping to catch the Williams set penis routine
-
Yep, ive been saying the same thing. I would prefer him deeper in a central role.
-
They are all still adjusting to the pace of the league
-
Replays showed onside IMHO
-
Apologies, im just very frustrated.
-
We need a new manager so we can smash every team 5-0. Anything less and ill be disappointed. <Sarcasm/>
-
Winning is good enough for now, no matter how badly we play. For that, monumental hats off.
-
would love it if there were "reputation" features enabled on this forum so that you can vote up/down good/bad posts. That way I could ignore all the idiots (or they could ignore me )
-
I have to disagree slightly. For me its about getting your best players on the ball as much as possible. And having Hatem/Sissoko up front means that isnt the case. Id love them both deeper, getting the ball as much as possible, and influencing the game

I dont get this comment. Been said on here a few times. Surely this goes without saying even if we had won 3-0? Glass half full.
-
100% Agree. Some sense in this thread at last
-
I honestly believe that if we were beating teams 9-0, people would still be moaning that we arent winning 10-0
-
Oh boo hoo, how hard that must be. Stop. You're an Idiot.
-
Oh my word, some of the numpties on here. This is a great result. A million miles from home, cold, weird pitch, playing a better side. Yet, some will moan.... fuck me.
-
Until we lose, then the pardew thread will erupt. Dear {} please dont let this happen.
-
I think its a case of "Simpson, Anita, Yanga-Mbiwa, Perch, Haidara, Cabaye ©," = Keep your shape, the rest, be free and conquor

This blows my f***ing mind, bloke at work pipes up with it all the time. 20% for the manager? I Someone else said it I think, even if this was true you can judge a manager by what he does to change things when they're not working. I shouldn't have to explain that any further. Pardew is not a good manager, he's not a terrible one, but he's certainly not good enough for us. Someone should tell Fergie he can have 20% credit for the last 25+ years ffs. I think you missed my point. I meant from the point of kick off. Obviously if you want to get technical, you could in theory say Owner 100%, Manager 0% if you are Man City. This thread blew up after the Swansea game. I thought we were setup correctly and dominated parts of the game. So, the preparations were obviously not dreadful. Then in the dying moments, a defensive mistake and we lose. Everyone blames Pardew. So my point above was. How much influence did he really have after the kickoff?
-
Honest question. Who do we think has the most influence over the result of the match. Would be interesting to guage as a percentage, eg: Manager: 20% Players: 70% Crowd: 10%
-
The players, of course. However, they are not to blame for their poor form this season. You can work this any way you like. It's quite flexible. Hehe. Spot on.
-
Look at the team that got us 5th last year. Who gets the credit there?
-
If only Pardew could operate on Cabayes leg to ensure better corners.... that would rock
-
Agree a manager has influence, but the way some go on, on this forum, is that he should be consistently waving his magic wand and making things happen. We should have beaten Swansea. Gouf and others could/should have scored (individual errors). The goal we conceded was a shambles (individual errors). What I would be interested in is us as a community scoring the various aspects of being a manager, eg: Relationship with Media Relationship with Fans Relationship with Chairman/Owner Relationship with Board Relationship with Scout Man Management Ability to execute within a strict framework/budget Pre-Game Strategy etc Training/Coaching etc Not an exhaustive list, but you get the point. I think he scores very VERY well in some areas, and probably not so well in others.
