I used to work in the Monument Mall shop back in the day with @bowlingcrofty. Some of the shit we sold was superb.

Just watched that Tyneside life’s video on SJP expansion. He genuinely doesn’t have a clue for most things but he does have an interview with the chair of the Leazes Park conservation committee who is also on the fan advisory board, and she said they’d be open to a conversation where SJP is moved further into the park, in exchange for funding guarantees for the park to improve the facilities etc there.

We need it to have sufficient quality of depth in every position (ie two players of top 8 quality), plus a third striker.

I think the summer window priorities are quite clear. There needs to be a lot of movement. We need to sign a CB, CM, RW and 2 x strikers. We need to shift Ritchie, Dummett, Lewis, Hendrick, Fraser etc and probably one player for decent money. Hopefully that’ll be Miggy or Murphy.

3 goals away from having as many goals this season as Maxi did in his whole NUFC career.

I was in the Gallowgate today for the first time this season. Horrendous experience. No one within 30 seats of me in any direction made any attempt to sing at any point in the game. Until there is a significant change in demographics in the match going fans, I think good atmospheres are consigned to one off occasions like PSG.

The fella transforms our midfield. Get Tonali in for Longstaff next year and we’d be cooking on gas.

We might stay at SJP, we might extend it, we might move to the arena site, we might move to Leazes Park, we might do nowt. Cheers Luke.

Southampton at home please.

This season has shown just how pivotal this bloke is to our midfield. If he’s asking for c£125k a week then that’s pretty reasonable for a first choice midfielder.
-
Considering he’d played one game in a number of years before this game I don’t think you could argue too much with his performance. Decent enough without being outstanding. Pretty sure if he had a run of games in the team he’d show he’s better than Dubravka.

Karius Trippier Schar Lascelles Livramento Bruno Miley Willock Gordon Isak Barnes Subs: Gillespie, Krafth, Botman, Burn, Longstaff, Murphy, Almiron, Harrison. Non-playing matchday staff: Howe, Tindall, Hall.
-
The Mainz keeper, who looks like Karius, has just done a Karius.
-
You can hear Howe praising Tino in the “Toon in Training” video today. I’d be staggered if Tino wasn’t a good trainer, he seems a really down to earth grounded kid, and Trippier is basically his mentor. If he wasn’t putting the effort in then he wouldn’t be on the pitch.

Pretty sure the Durham chairman said a few weeks ago that Saudi’s had expressed an interest in owning a Hundred franchise. Be great if that was at Durham with the added bonus of mackem fewm thrown in.

I did find it funny that Winter was raving about his database of players as if somehow it was Ashworth’s property. Nah - any work you do whilst at a club is property of the club. You don’t get to take it with you when you go.

Be absolutely staggered if we don’t include a clause regarding they can’t bid for any of our players/staff for a certain period of time.
