It's genuinely incredible that he gave it like. Out of all the decisions you could not overturn, he chooses that one . The Man Utd players weren't even celebrating the goal, the ref was the only fucker who thought it wasn't a handball. Absolutely useless
-
It's a very strange way to end his time here. On the bench but never coming on, kind of accepted by all parties that he's leaving. Just weirdly drifting to an inevitable conclusion
-
This is basically only the second game he's had as the number 10 / second striker right? Immediately looks more at home there and is showing more what he's all about. It's taken basically the entire season to get there but if we're going to continue with this system next season, then he showed today that he could be a real asset
-
Well he looks absolutely mint . Seriously though, for a 20 year old keeper he looks like he can do the lot in that video - sweeping up outside his box, he's massive, passes out well off both feet, as well as some great saves. Oh and scores penalties, most importantly
-
May well be an element of us happy for him to be the big sale this summer (even though there may be more) and we don't want him picking up an injury in the last few games that would scupper a big money move for him too
-
I only saw one replay of the pen, but it looked like an absolute shocker. What was it given for? Handball or a foul?
-
I didn't think our new kit was THAT bad until I saw the cunts putting out that lovely, simple, purely black and white design for Juventus with a nice collar. Absolutely taking the piss
-
Signing a 29 year old Harry Wilson because he's had one good half season in the Premier League for the first time in his career is the exact opposite of what we should be doing. Would be a shit signing
-
Just checked, according to AI we hold the record with 31 points lost from winning positions in the 04/05 season. Next is Fulham with 28 points in 24/25
-
We must be close to setting some sort of record for points lost from winning positions / points lost in the last ten minutes of games. Looks as if the players just expect it to happen as well now
-
Looks like he's been playing a fair bit on the right wing... Weren't we weirdly getting linked with him about a year ago?
-
Yeah I think Jones is a good player. Has good technical attributes that we currently lack in midfield
-
Would love us to sign some class young Brazilians like
-
Yeah he's class, was one of the few players who you could trust not to immediately give the ball away today
-
Looked canny pissed off when celebrating the Barnes goal #bodylanguage
-
Burn over Hall at left back and a front three of Murphy, Osula, and Joelinton/Willock. If we lose today there's going to be serious discussions about team selection going on
-
Article claims that is what The Athletic reported in September when the deal went through
-
Chris Waugh in The Athletic reporting that we're actively looking to move him on in the summer for a big loss, but that he wants to stay. 25% sell on clause as well
-
Sorry just seen this. What a finish that was. Watched it on the TV with two of the school Dads who are both York fans. They were obviously devastated in the 95th minute, and I've not quite seen celebrations like it in the 104th minute . Great to see what it means to teams in the National League, absolutely chuffed for them. They deserved it too, should have won it in normal time. Might nip along to the bus parade on Tuesday
-
Think Trafford would be great for us. Pulls off some great saves and has an air of assurance/confidence about him. Think he could become a top keeper if he gets a proper run of games as number 1 somewhere
-
York Community Stadium showing the game on Saturday on big screens, loads of pubs in town showing it but taking bookings and selling out. The city has gone National League mad
-
Doesn't that name essentially translate to Kenny Squirrel in German?
-
If he'd had a massive falling out with Eddie and the squad then surely he wouldn't even be in the matchday squad?
-
Having said this, the promotion system in the National League is a bit of a joke. York have 107 points, they've scored 113 goals with a goal difference of +73 and they might not go up
-
Yeah there's a lot to be said for it. Tickets were cheap and not a complete ballache to get, the beer was good and not stupidly priced, the atmosphere was decent (8,500 there yesterday) and York play some good stuff. Seeing my 7 year old marvel at the noise 8,000 York fans could make did make me desperate to get him to St James' for a big game though, he'd fucking love it
