That should have came with a Ronny radford trigger warning.

My blue star home one is stitched and the mcewans home one is flock, this may have been due to the the time of issue. I recall some of the later ones having the asics logo alongside the text, and we hardly wore the blue star version in 94-95.

I only got the waistcoats in the last few years since lockdown etc, had no recollection of them first time around. Yeah those keeper shirts are something else.

I never had that but had the stripey track/shell suit and sadly thats one of the only things ive ever got rid of. I was at OT for the first ever premier league point and wrote to the club to ask about them relesing the white socks, (I was 11) and was politely told no. I did however have the blue asics cycling shorts which I'd wear for maximum Andy Cole-ness, even did full kit wanker for the spurs game on first day of the season. I've got both the asics waistcoats in my collection now, very niche. I do genuinely believe the asics stuff was the most sought after ever at the time, 3 years of the same shirt seemed an eternity at the time and we went from mid table with a half full ground to packing it out and getting promoted in the space of one kit.

Still decent though, villa and derby ones were the same.

Piss poor. We must have one of the worst retro ranges about. Only the bukta stuff that’s ever been done again properly, villa, spurs, Everton, arsenal and Man U off top of head have had decent remakes, even the mackems have had 80s Umbro stuff.

No long gave up on finding an original of these, so would do that it’s just removing the black part which is tricky.
-
Nope and my mate who I get for all my little side projects refused to take off the second black and white mcewans from it!

Link to when I thought I’d found the elusive ‘yellow mcewans’ on an ASICS strip: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cl1wPPlA_Pi/?igsh=MTU4d3kybDk2MjZxag==

Just got the ASICS blue star for a fiver more! Obviously with a few clicks in it but still .

I'd imagine others will be raging when we join the eilte crew.

Was a good find, always a bit of a risk buying online but the 1892 tags assured me this was straight from the shop. Will probably end up on eBay next few days as already have one.

I worked in Sunderland up until a year ago, some of the lads there didn’t want to go up from the play offs when they got beat off luton, or said that at least, as they felt it was too soon. can’t really be too fussy about when you get promoted like, just look at boro

Yellow and green my favourite combo as when I started watching us, also most practical as would never really need a third shirt, unless Watford were in yellow and black stripes. Can't ever see a situation were we won't have three shirts mind.

I've got a bnwt of those winging its way from Italy as we speak, even has the old 1892 tags on it, will post once delivered, got my dads old one too so not sure if will keep new one. Memories of watching the last ever Roker derby win at the arena with us wearing that shirt.

Not a well liked Kit and don't think we ever won in it? I was at Leeds and Hillsborough when we lost in it, think the other game was Southampton and we never won there.

League cup more fan friendly in many respects, two legged midweek semis are decent and bigger allocation for Wembley, with just one trip required. A friend from Liverpool said the final is always a drag for him as its on a Sunday and he's at work next day (teacher), the heart bleeds.

Yes also had Ecuador by sash and regret by new order among others iirc. Made a Spotify playlist of this and various matchday songs a few years ago: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3vZs9bjRMVcgdML3hGlEzT?si=a7-gArdqQnSIHkSj0UA3fw&pi=e-545dmVFRTUie

both started at Forest

Good shout, won a champions league then went on to play for Milan before Barca.

The Leeds and forest spezial stuff looks amazing, hopefully we get it at some stage

That peoples price is minging, my lass got me the score draw green away from there for xmas a few years ago from there, I had two of the original asics ones already at the time so ungratefully swapped it for that seasons castore one as they wouldn't refund. That shop alone is a case in point for the deterioration of northumberland street.

I bought a VHS recently from an away win at Norwich in 1994, of course I no longer have a video player, is this the sort of thing you are interested in?
