  2. No chance in hell of getting any of those AM's.
  3. For that price I don't think I'd be all that disappointed. He'd add some much needed depth to the side if nothing else.
  4. 50,000+ is far better. You're going to have atmosphere with that many people there, unless the crowd are just totally fed up with the football, like we were under Fat Sam.
  5. I'd be pleased, because we would've beaten Chelsea.
  6. Hard to believe Sam Allardyce bought him.
  7. Go on then - tell me which of our attacking midfielders are better? We don't really have any attacking midfielders to tell you the truth. But we can do better. But go ahead, sign him just because we can. Who cares how good he is. He plays in the right position so that'll do me. I'm guessing you've actually never heard of the guy until he appeared in the topic title? Who do you think we could attract that would be better suited then? I've heard of him, don't worry. David Bentley. Bentley's a right winger isn't he? He's also recently stated he wants Champions League football. I wouldn't say Bentley is only a right winger though. He's more than capable of playing in an AM role, or in the centre of midfield too. I know he's said he wants CL football, but a bit of coin his way could make him change his mind.

  10. Man United by a long way. Plastic fans. Bunch of whingers when things don't go their way too.
  11. He'd be a handy addition as a squad player from what I know of him, but not really an improvement on what we've got.
  12. Not heard of Manchester United? Habib Beye has been SENSATIONAL!
  13. Pretty much how I see it. Hopefully he puts in a good performance though.
  14. Pfft, let's just play 3 at the back, who needs defenders?
  15. Haha, right. Well then, be interesting to see who plays in his place.
  16. Crouch puts Liverpool ahead.
  17. Why change the defence? It's been functioning well over the last few weeks, and to change it would be stupid.
  18. Pointless job? Its a key role in any large company FFS Came out slightly the wrong way, but I'd like to know how much this new set-up has cost us financially. If it benefits the club long term I won't be complaining though.
  19. Are we just paying people money because we can now? Seems like a pretty pointless job.
  20. In the Wikipedia scenario, the FA cup runners up would get the UEFA cup spot, not 6th place. You're contradicting yourself. Didn't you get the part where I said Portsmouth would qualify as the national cup winners? That's how I always thought it would work, but wikipedia doesn't make it clear. It gets confusing, but from the debate I had on another forum, that was fairly lengthy, we came to a general consensus. Wikipedia makes it perfectly clear, there is no ambiguity in what it says and it's not confusing at all. It implies if Portsmouth win the FA cup and come 5th then the UEFA cup position will go to the FA cup runner up. You are contradicting what it says and I prefer to believe the BBC over an article written by some random person based on a 5 year old source. Suit yourself.
  21. I just hope Keegan doesn't go out and buy Bridge or something, Enrique should be first choice next year.
  22. Do you have a source for Wikipedia being right? The FA reference cited for that information on Wikipedia is dated 04 February 2003. Do you have a source for the BBC being right? I'd prefer to believe wikipedia, on an FA referenced cited page (regardless of the date) over a little snippet from the BBC.
