Not expecting an awful lot with that team, but who knows. -
Where's Oba? And 3 central defenders on our bench
-
I know I'll get slated for this, but I really don't rate Carroll. He reminds me of a poor Ameobi.
-
I originally thought 'oh no' but after thinking it through for a while I'd change to a hmmf. Certainly wouldn't be the worst signing in the world, and he's an improvement on the current player we have in his position. I too, also didn't realise he was so young. Still, it depends on the price.

Since it's still going to be winter here in Australia, I'll continue my refereeing

Is N'Zogbia's exit inevitable? (Maybe not - Page 24!)

That's disappointing. I also couldn't understand the logic about homesickness and therefore moving to London though. -
That's good, I wish the lad luck. Do you reckon he's good enough to get a gig at one of the promoted teams? I personally think he is.
-
Wouldn't mind big Peter Crouch but he's likely to set us back a bit. But it does force us to upgrade, which is a good thing.

Bugger. He was one of the ones I was most excited about too -
When do they not? True, but that shouldn't stop KK speaking his mind. I know it shouldn't, which is what some on here can't understand. He's always done it, so he's hardly going to stop now. We had the media savvy Sam Allardyce in charge before Keegan, want him back?

When do they not?

Peter Beardsley, on the legends, 6 years to break top 4

Spot on. -
Sack the manager. Get another one in. That's the solution right there.
-
He has never said we're a mid-table club. He's said we're not a top 4 club. Everyone knows that. He's said his aim is to come 5th. What's wrong with that? It's a lot better than we have been coming recently after we've talked ourselves up. It could also be relieving pressure from the current playing group. I laugh at this board sometimes, what do you want him to say? We're going to win the league. If he said anything else he'd be getting slated for being unrealistic.

I think certain people need to grasp a little concept called realism.

 I love how when people have grudges they completely ignore the facts.

With their ridiculous sponsorship and marketing turnover they'll be able to manage it. They'll never be free of the debt (well not in the near future), but they'll get by.
-
If Taylor is so good, why did he struggle when Faye was out of the team?
-
Harper Beye Taylor Faye Enrique Geremi Butt N'Zogbia Owen Smith Martins ****NB: I DON'T WANT SMITH TO START, THE ABOVE IS JUST HOW I THINK WE'LL LINE UP****
-
I'm sure they'll give us Fletcher for a reasonable price
-
Love the thread title Good news, well the Carr part anyway. I would've liked to keep Ramage as back-up. Troisi hasn't really improved from what I've heard.
-
Taylor performs very well with Faye at the back. Last week against West Ham he wasn't awfully good, but that's when Edgar was next to him. Faye and Taylor has been a good partnership

Newcastle United 0 - 2 Chelsea - 05/05/08 - post match reaction from page 13

his positioning for the goal was beyond woeful. but is that not poor ickle alan's fault either? Alan Smith was actually marking Carvalho (I think it was him) and Butt was on Ballack. Don't ask me why Butt was on Ballack, because that's a poor match-up to start with, but he was. Butt was ball watching, Smith realised where the ball was going, tried to get there, and couldn't. It made it look like Smith was on Ballack, but he wasn't. If you don't believe me, you can watch it again.
