There's no doubt that Adrian Mutu is an extremely good and skillful player, but like others have mentioned, he's too much of a party boy. I'd prefer we stayed away from him to be honest. Aimar is well worth the risk for that price.

Been out on the lash? They paid £15 million for him 5 months go, they aren't going to let him leave for less than half of that now. The player has also said that he doesn't want to leave and knows there will be more opportunities in the future. However if Grant goes, I guess that changes..... They're not going to get the £15m back. For teams like Chelsea, a £7m or so loss is nothing. Let's say he goes for £10m, I'd still be interested. He's hopelessly out of touch at Chelsea, surrounded by better players etc.

Not sure if it has been mentioned (probably has with 140 other pages), but I can't see Anelka staying at Chelsea next season. Could be leaving for 6-7m, would he interest you?

I'm disappointed, although it was probably always going to be the case. As has been said, if he keeps his nose clean, he'll be out in time for the start of next season. I hope we stick by him, because he's a talented footballer. He has to be on his last chance though, and any other stupid shit should immediately see him sacked.

Liverpool and Arsenal are also interested. Now, I can see him not going to Liverpool, due to a lack of funds they'll have if DIC don't take over, but with the other interested parties, I can't see us getting him. Wouldn't hurt to put a bid in though.
