  1. Zenit would've been absolutely stupid to sell Arshavin before Euro, especially considering they don't need money. At the end of the day it will be Arshavin that decides where he wants to go, and it's not going to be, and never was going to be us. Also, I'm pretty sure we never put in a 'decent' bid. With the way the club is at the moment, it's almost a backward step for players like Arshavin and Arda to come to us. That's the truth. The only thing we can offer them is money, dedicated fans and the chance to play in the EPL. No Europe, no nothing.
  2. Well, a few of the lads on RAWK reckon he's in talks with them at the moment. They might just be stirring the pot though. No idea why it is they're interested in him, he's got one thing about him that I like, and that's that he tries hard. Unfortunately that's just not enough to be a good player (see Smith), and considering they're rumoured to be giving us 7m for him, I'm over the moon. But yeah, probably won't even happen
  3. Just reading through RAWK, came across this: Marvellous.
  4. It's okay I suppose. I'll probably be getting it anyway.

    Guy Demel

He'd be a decent squad player to have because he can play in both full-back positions.

  7. Why would you want one even if there was?
  8. Taking the piss, surely? The only time he was lacking worth ethic was extremely late in the game, and that might have something to do with the fact that he was knackered (you know, not having played in over a month and stuff). He'd fit in behind the front 2, or on the wing. Quite simple. Look, I'd be happy with either Arshavin or Turan (or both ), but if a choice had to be made I'd go with Arshavin every day of the week.
  9. They alright off there? Just the cheapness has me wondering...
  10. I was one of his biggest fans when he first came onto the scene, but he just hasn't improved all that much He does put his heart and soul into it though which is one thing I like about him. He's deserving of a new contract probably, as long as it's not ridiculous wages.
  11. Agreed 100%. Yes the 2 home games are tricky as fook There's only one of them in August though. So a win against Bolton and we'll be on 3 points, to get more than 3 we'll have to get a point off Man Utd or Arsenal. See their point?
  12. Apart from Manu have the best record in the league for opening day fixture. Well at least its out of the way, only way is up really. Yep but Reading got a point there last season on the opening day. Gotta play them all at some stage, and in all fairness we should win our opening two home games, so a record of 2-0-2 with our two losses against Manure and Arsenal won't be too bad.

    Arda Turan?

Sahin will do me just fine too. One thing that has impressed me about Arda is the way that he creates space for himself. Quite a few times you wonder how he's going to get a cross into the box but somehow he manages it.
  14. They're fucking taking the piss.
  15. Full fixture list can be found: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/fixtures/default.stm
  16. Or we could look at the positives. Early on in the year they might be rusty, in all fairness it might be the best time to play them.

    Arda Turan?

I've been extremely impressed with him from what I've seen of him at Euro. It's probably actually a bad thing tbh.
  18. Though I think this might get us banned
  19. Pennant is better than Milner, yet we're getting Pennant + Cash? Gee whizz.
  20. Read that earlier. Unsure what to think of that to be honest, I suppose it's a good thing. Although there's been plenty of occasions where the people in charge have been too 'hands on'.
  21. They'll get more than £10m for him, don't mind seeing us start low though.
