I still think he is down as our 6th choice CM after Cabaye, Tiote, Gosling, Vuckic and Guthrie. What is worrying though, is that Pardew seems to prefer him ahead of Abeid.

As much as I don't rate him, I actually think he can benefit from having players like Cabaye and Ben Arfa in the team, as they know how to pick out a good pass. IMO Loven is better at making the runs for those passes than any of our other strikers.

You don't rate Arsenal, do you? But I get your point. In a season or two we will hopefully be an even better team than Villa if we spend wisely in the transfer windows.

Nah, but that last sub was with 3 minutes to go and was probably just to give Sol a feeling of 'being a part of the team', before Saylor comes back and pushes him down as 4th choice CB. My point was, that you see a lot of managers in his situation taking of a striker and replacing him with a defender og midfielder, when they are 2-0 up and there's 30 minutes to go.

I think his decision to bring on Nile Ranger when Peter Lovenkrands got injured says a lot about his philosophy. It would have been easy putting on someone like Guthrie instead when we were 2-0 up, but he still wanted to play with two forwards and push for that 3rd goal instead of playing it safe and just defend the lead. I like that .

My first thought after we sold Carroll was that I would love it if we could get Bendtner as a replacement. Think he could be very good for us once he get to play football on a regular basis. I wouldn't mind us paying £12m for him.

I'm halfway expecting him to be one of the two players Kinnear was going on about that wasn't in England. Though his admirer is apparently Wise, so if they bring him I'm I'm sure it wouldn't be Kinnear with the final say tbh. I would love if we signed him. I've only seen him in the UEFA Cup against danish sides Brondby and FC Copenhagen, but on both occasions he looked like an excellent player. I don't think he made one bad pass or a wrong decision and he played with great authority. And he is what? 20 years old or something? Bring him in!

I'd like Michael Laudrup. Speaks english and spanish and likes to play a 4-3-3 attacking-minded type of football. He did well at Getafe last season despite of a small squad without any big names. Probably waiting for someone in La Liga to get sacked though.
