Richarlison did what Anthony did to Botman. Can see the tackle coming so goes in with am elbow to the head. Dirty fucker. Also the amount of decisions Kane gets just because he's Kane is why I hate watching spurs games, unless we're beating them.

Erik Dier doesn't inspire confidence ?
-
Really enjoying watching Leeds this year. They have some really pacy direct players.
-
Nah was wide left. I think we all assumed he would be through the middle before the game.
-
To be fair I think ASM played almost in a false 9 role against Norwich last year was it? And it I quite liked the way he was dropping deep and beating a player then playing a through ball. However....it was Norwich and also it was an away game which has a natural more counterattack dynamic compared to a home game. If Wilson is out then it's gonna be Wood with Almiron and Joelinton/Willock from the left. Let's just hope the rest of the lads are on it and we get runners from midfield to cause Chelsea trouble. Really really want to win this game as it feels like abit of a 6 pointer already.

My confidence of a win with Wood instead of Wilson dramatically decreases. I know he scored last week but the drop off in quality is quite steep. Can't wait for Isak to return to give us more forward options.

We deserved to concede atleast one yesterday. Some very nervy moments. The miss at the back post first half, the misplaced Botman pass with the Adams miss and then the eventually sloppy goal we did give. Was pleasing to hear that the players and Eddie weren't happy with the performance and yet still won 4:1

It's a shame this is against a fairly inform palace who probably likely to go full strength. Would be nice to rest majority going into Chelsea but I think this is a season we need to go all in on the cups aswell. Hope Eddie can find the right balance and rest some but also win the game.

It was after their corner. Manquilo for some reason found himself in the left back slot so everyone moved across but then Anderson got caught covering rb and burn comes sliding across to try and cover. Poor all round really but disorganisation can happen I suppose after a bunch of subs.
-
Ah shame Joelinton is out he was back to his physically imposing best against Villa.
-
I think that was a little lie when he said post match that he wasn't aware Southgate was there ? He would have known full well just as Joelinton would have known about the brasil coach. Think it helped give them a bit more motivation today. Which isn't saying much as they both usually give their all anyway but they both seemed extra determined today l

I'm not sure where Eddie will look to slot him in when fit. We haven't had the benefit of all our fowards being fit at the same time yet. Wilson, Saint-Maximin, Isak and Almiron (who has made himself a guaranteed starter in current form) I imagine the way Eddie likes to phase new players in then Isak I think is likely going to be the impact sub for a little while until injury or loss of form to one of the others. However the prospect of being able to fit all 4 into a formation at some point if they were all in form is mouth watering.?

The directness of his goal today I absolutely loved. Not only the worldly finish but just the positive intent from the moment he received the ball. 1 thing on his mind and executed to perfection ❤️

Colossus at times. Villa players just seemed to crumble when they felt his presence in that 2nd half. Deserved goal
-
Excellent cameo. Narrowly away from a couple of assists for Wilson and almost a goal himself. Fair play.
-
Willock was poor but then his misplaced pass and then follow up to win it back actually contributed to the penalty. Longstaff has actually made some great runs into the channels. If he just had more pace and end product he would be ideal. Hopefully we can start the half the way we ended the last. ?
-
They will pose a threat on the counter with some quick players, that Bailey finally looked useful last game. But I'm glad our lads can have almost a full week to recover after the busy schedule. Expected changes but with the way we are playing, it could easily be the same 11 again now they were able to grab a rest.
-
There was a 10 minute spell around the goal where we could have bagged about 3 or 4 but 2nd half we were a bit off it. Really nice to have that growing confidence now though that when they want to shut up shop and just see out a game, we actually can.
-
That was a dirty fucking tackle by rat boy on the superior Bruno.
-
Scored those two goals away at Norwich last time he did play in that position to be fair.
-
I fear man utd have stumbled upon their best 11 through injuries and suspensions. Was hoping Varane was injured. On paper this looks like a tough afternoon but I trust the boys to put in a performance ?
-
It's been said by many others already but probably the only time I can enjoy a man city win is this. Something really satisfying watching Man United get humped for some reason. City having De Bruyne and Haaland just seems unfair. Such a lethal combo.
-
Howe will likely look to rest Bruno and Wilson at some stage I imagine.
-
I think Bruno will be in that deeper "6" role and Longstaff will likely be in the Joelinton role, altho alot less impactful one would think.

Yeah having watched him more closely this season after our interest this summer, I really want us to go back in for him now. May be tricky though as they aren't in desperate need for cash anymore presumably and may still be at the wrong end of the table and will want to hang on to their best players.
