Whatever it takes.... i'd say he's worth about 12m right now with potential to be worth a lot more. But in the last few days of the window you don't genuinely pay what a player is worth you have to a pay a premium and if you don't then you don't get the player. like Psg had to?
-
Maybe he had a few drinks at this awards ceremony and got a bit more chatty
-
Nothing is ever the end of the world but considering we have total sum of zero creativity in midfield i'd say it would be pretty f*cking annoying. Pretty ironic that Pardew is now dependant on Ben Arfa for creativity. The cunt.

Someone take him out please. Sums up everything wrong with the regime

Season could go very sour very quickly. After the mess of last night where we should have won comfortably, the Remy 3 game ban, ofcourse the Cabaye sale, No signings in January, Lose again to the Mackems, then possible lose to Chelsea and Spurs.
-
Some will still defend it as genuinely trying though. Not me, trying is not the issue. Either we make signings or we don't. The very fact that so few fans care about 'trying' makes the made-up bids thing so ridiculous in the first place. It's not that the bid is made up. The bid is purposely low, they know Lyon wont accept it but they throw it in anyway. How many times do you need to see this shit to finally accept it for what it is. Amen brother.

Mark Douglas knows fuck all like the rest of us. But either way as everyone has been saying all day. This was never going to happen and it's disgusting. Fans were rightly pissed off after the summer window when they spent nowt and now this is even worse by spending nothing again but in the process losing our best player and bagging £20m

I'm not even from the area and I can't stand Sunderland. Seem to fluke their way through things all the time and then their fans have the nerve to claim we're a lucky team.
-
Atleast Santon should handle him better than fucking Jonas did last year.
-
Ah fair enough, only saw it once on a really shitty picture.
-
Linesman giving the decision again. Happening quite a lot it seems. Hard to tell on my crappy stream but does touching the ball mean anything if they take out the player as well? Couldn't tell maybe Dzeko dived after but looked like he took him out despite getting a toe on it?
-
How accurate is that translation btw? "Nearly" ffs way to keep everyone's hopes alive haha. I suppose looking at it from an optimistic point of view, it probably does his wage negotiations better if the club have to persuade him to join rather than him saying he'd love to come before they even offer terms? All bollocks anyway he's not joining and never was
-
No point saying it then. Sorry
-
Goes without saying but Michael Owen is a terrible co-commentator.
-
Annoys me that we just let this gobshite chat shit about our club/fans and he remains on the payroll. I know we can do fuck about it ofcourse but just something about the fact he's not getting constant abuse really doesn't sit well. Most of the time I try to forget about him completely but then occasionally he rears his ugly head and I think, hold on this guy is still here and worse, in charge of our transfers.
-
Man you must have been here back when the whole late N'zogbia bid thing happened and later turning out there was no bid etc? Numerous other examples of way below value bids. It's perfectly easy to see why they would do it, especially when they know some fans will be angry to lose Cabaye. They know if it looks like they are trying to sign a replacement then any anger will die down.

That was before our apparent bid. Also if you read the whole interview it's a little more positive for us than just that little snippet. He's basically covering his arse like any player would.
-
They best not get relegated then
-
Wouldn't say it's safe to assume anything with these sneaky bastards in charge.
-
Please don't use the term "powder dry" around here. Just makes me think of that arsehole Pardew
-
Think the plan was for Williamson to put him on his shoulders at free kicks and corners. holy shit can you imagine if someone ever tried that! Could be a gamechanger for the future of set pieces!
-
Would be a big boost if he's fit for saturday.
-
Dunno if I'll be able to handle it if I see this fucker celebrating like this again.
-
Not to have any other wide players on the bench like Obertan and Marveaux, considering Ben Arfa and Sammy's lack of match fitness was bizarre. Plus the fact Pardew admitted after the game Ben Arfa has been sick all week. Who would have started if he hadn't made it? Gosling!?
