I can tolerate almost all of it apart from the big fuck off blue stripes down the side. I mean fair enough like the spikes this year you would soon barely notice the thin blue stripes on the black stripes but christ those thick blue stripes really stand out

Not sure I like the idea of Liverpool and Spurs getting mega transfer fees for Bale and Suarez but I suppose their is a chance they could spunk it all on crap.

I've been looking back over this season and the common trend where we stopped playing football in the second half of matches. A lot was joked about saying such things like "What the hell does Pardew say to them at half time" etc. I think it all comes back to how utterly unfit and prepared the team appeared going into the season. It looks to me in a lot of games we start the first half ok. Passing, running into channels and closing down well all over the pitch. But then later in the game we resort to just getting rid of it (hoof) not closing down as much and rather just backing off and dropping deeper and deeper to save chasing all over the pitch. I believe a lot of these problems could be solved with a bit of good old fashioned fitness work in pre-season. Everton started the season on fire and it looked to me like Moyes had got his team fitter than ever and they were just bulldozing teams. Whereas it always looked to me like we were playing catch up as we had under prepared for the season. Either way it's still Pardew's responsibility to put it right.

this is exactly how I thought it would go. Was hoping at the very least he would shut up with his tail between his legs and just accept he messed up last season. What's actually happening is he seems to be taking the fact he's been backed to carry on as some sort of justification he is right. That rumour from one of the "sources" about how the backroom staff felt we needed bigger players and more "jumpers" was laughed at when it was rumoured but here it is from the man himself. Said it before and I'll say it again. He's the perfect successor to Tony Pulis for Stoke. In fact even Stoke have removed Pulis and will probably move away from the style of play he established there and will probably end up selling their 6ft 4" players to us. N'Zonzi or Shawcross anyone? Can easily see it happening.

Only way this can get worse for me is if he has been given full control over transfers. I know we could be better next season but it's thoroughly depressing knowing our only real ambition according to the statement is to try and finish no lower than tenth. Even that would be tolerable if we played attacking football and at least tried in the domestic cups but I just know we won't.

Been thinking it's all gone quiet about Aubameyang and then I saw this today. Alan Pardew Think we can kiss goodbye to this one happening.

Made the mistake of re-watching the Sunderland 5-1 tonight. Would quite like him back based on that performance but not sure how often he could play like that anymore as he's been picking up knocks consistently since he left us.
