haha oh dear. The players had already been out the pitch for ages anyway
-
Even a few of my mates who don't even follow football think it's a f***ing idiotic move. Yeah everyone ive told about this have all simply said to me "disgusting" before i even ranted about it myself so it's not just toon fans or even football followers that think this is wrong
-
Like they give a s***, man. Shola finds it funny when we lose. Yeah fair enough. Didn't expect them to make any sort of comment, especially after what has happened to barton and co. But i can't exactly see someone like carver being over the moon by this though.
-
Shola, tiote, cabaye,Marveaux,Obertan,Best. Not all ruled out i know but still mostly first 11 players.
-
So with the injuries beginning to mount up and now 99% of fans right royally fucked off with the stadium change and 2 very likely defeats on the trot. I can see our season taking a very sour turn for the next few weeks. I'm going to be very miserable i think. Hate the power football has over my emotions

Can see this thread going quieter over the next few days
-
It seems to me it's all gearing towards the red bull Salzburg type thing where the whole club is going to be brand sports direct.
-
Can't imagine John carver, Steven Taylor, Shola etc being particularly chirpy in training tomorrow.
-
You say no one will call it that and yes your right in the sense of us fans, but match of the day, soccer saturday, foreign tv channels etc will have to refer to it as "sports direct arena" just like they are doing with the "etihad arena" and there you have his company being advertised in front of millions

Not this fucking bullshit again. Fuck sake mike stop pissing people off whenever things are going well

Can you get banned for telling people to fuck off? might be worth it some of the irritating and purposeful winding up going on in here. I don't get why people enjoying it so much? do people just get off on the fact they are irritating others and getting them to "bite" We get your points about ben arfa, fine that's your opinion. But do you have to keep ramming it down everyone's throats constantly post after post? You have made your positions clear now give it a rest or are you lot guna keep posting different examples and keep arguing with different people for the next 2 weeks before you have more evidence to add to your armoury?

Baggio and christmas tree. You guys seem to be basing your whole arguments on the fact that some people wanted HBA in the starting line up immediately which to be fair some did say a lot on here. But can you blame them? Excitement was inevitably going to build when a player, who many had seen play lots in france, had been out for a whole year. Now bar one or two i've noticed an evident drop in the number of people thinking he should be in the starting eleven when everyone is fit now that people have had chance to see he isn't quite ready and should continue his development in cameo roles. So there is no need to feel like you guys have to try and go the complete opposite of other posters on here just for the sake of argument because i think a huge majority except he shouldn't automatically replace best or any one else in the starting eleven atm. There really is no need for any debate because it's going to mean everytime he fucks something up your guys will be on here giving it the big and if he scores or plays really well everyone else will be doing the same back to you and it's going to get very tiresome.

Everyone play nice and share the love

I agree with you Dontooner, i think he is getting used to his body again because it seems like he is taking people on and normally he would breeze past them but physically he's not quite there yet even if in his mind he thinks he can beat the man. Hopefully it will come with fitness and form as they both improve with time. But everyone is over analysing every little thing he does at the moment which is unfair because we don't do it with other players and they aren't returning from a broken leg.

In a change of pace to this thread, i was re-watching the game and this picture cracked me up abit haha. He's saying something about why sammy is on instead of him from what i can tell. Well the only words i could lip read were sammy and ball. Also i thought it was quite funny when Ben Arfa is stood ready to come on Pardew goes up to him and clearly says "work REALLY hard ok?" Romantic moment http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/7440/hahp.jpg

Can't win because if he'd tried it and it hadn't came off or Ba had been called offside then the argument we'd be having now would be about how he didn't use his footballing brain to retain possession or that he'd ignored Pardew's direct instructions or some s***. Can't understand what people get out of this pointless wummery. This kind of nonsense doesn't exist in the real world I'm sure. The joy of anonymous internet posting.

By arguing for or against the point being debated. Anyone can simply put a one line slag comment it. Amazes me the number of people who post in this particular thread but say nowt. The last 10 or 20 pages seem to imply posters can post in here as long as they are praising or foretelling the good things that WILL come, but can't if you want to discuss his actual performance or how he might fit in etc. People whining about views different to their own is pathetic. Either enjoy a healthy Internet debate or post nothing would be my advice. Too much preciousness. Lots of people have given very good answers back to you and you just ignore them. Baggio why are you going on and on about this pass to ba? do you not think there are many reasons why he didnt pass? Confidence to make the pass may be down at the moment, maybe pardew told him to keep the ball and run down the clock so he didnt wana attempt a pass and mess it up leading to another everton attack? The fact your focusing so much on one particular missed pass opportunity just proves how little time ben arfa has been on the field and how few moments there are to discuss. Somene said it earlier theres barely anything to discuss about him at the moment because it is far too early to prove he is class or shit post injury. Maybe after he has a few starts in a row then you have more evidence to mount your "argument"
-
Unless they're defending one of the players you don't like, right?
-
just bit worried if were feeling sorry for ourselves and we come up against swansea needing a win because i think we struggle more against teams that like to pass it around and keep possession
-
After these set of tough games we play two of the promoted teams in succession who have both been playing well of late. Might be very difficult fixtures after potentially 3 defeats in a row or the perfect tonic to get back to winning ways.
-
Didn't Pardew say his agent is based in Argentina so negotiations are difficult?
-
Think a carling cup run would have been even less realistic now the injuries are starting to kick in
