The problem is anybody we get in is likely to be nowhere near the class of jose as he's the best all round left back we've had for some time and i can see people getting on the back of whoever replaces him
-
Mm well people who have watched him mishit cross after cross for 2 and a half seasons maybe... just because he got an assist yesterday, it doesn't suddenly make him become the worlds best crosser now.. does it? Agreed, anybody can fluke a few crosses now and again, I've seen him time and time again when he has loads of time to cross it in he balloons it over the top. But what i do like is that it doesn't deter him and he continues to cross it and cross it nice and early sometimes even with his weaker left wheareas some players would probably never cross with their weaker foot.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/38086000/jpg/_38086641_ronaldo1997_emp300x200.jpg I thought it was nice how when shearer was retiring,i can't remember where the interview was from, but he was asked if there was anyone he wished he'd played with and he said Ronaldo was the one player he would have loved to have played alongside.

Not that i disagree with you because i think if they slag them off for wrong decisions they should praise for good ones. But some people would say if they get it right they are just doing their job

1-0 up now, totally deserved too. Sublime goal really busted a gut and then drilled it perfectly
-
Aye, it would be favourable. Barton - Wilshere - Gerrard - Johnson Walcott - Carroll No chance of that being given even a chance because the FA hate Barton but it would be nice to give it a go because Walcott is ready now to play up front. Ive been thinking this aswell, he's still very lightweight but when he gets put through on goal nowadays he's clinical and no one can catch him. Apart from pace i don't really see the benefit of him playing wide as he isnt great at taking people on when their square up to him, not as good as say lennon and johnson are.

0:1 Ranger with a flukey first premier league goal that comes off his face or something. (because that's what just happened on fifa )

Harper's Elbow (Most Electrifying Move In Football)
alexf replied to Taylor Swift's topic in Football
Just seen it again, logical thing would be that he does it running after tiote and it being so late in the game maybe strained something but the timing of him clutching it straight after harper drops the elbow does seem like more than just a coincidence haha i love this club! so mental! -
They've already paid us up front £30m, they'd have no claim to that and even if it were in instalments they'd still have to pay and if didn't we'd successfully take them to court for it (See Al Fayed with Steve Marlet and refusing to pay the final two years due to him believing he was ripped off) IF he never made it back on the pitch the only way they'd see their money again is to claim off insurance, which I'd always heard that you cannot get if you don't pass a medical, Carroll didn't pass a full medical, so not sure if that was enough what he did pass or not. loved him whiie he was here but now he isnt that would be brilliant if that happened haha i think id be like cartman and blow a funny fuse, never find anything else funny again haha
-
hypothetically, say carroll never did ever get on a pitch for liverpool (i know im sure he will) but if he didn't would they be entitled to not have to pay us the £35m or could they only claim it back on insurance?
-
reminded me of the tackle on ben arfa. got the ball first but went in with excessive force, way more than necessary and on the reply could easily of broken his leg but when u get the ball first you can always claim its not dangerous just like city did when de jong got away with his

put him upfront!
-
haha won't happen
-
alot of pressure on him to perform from the off. likely be wearing torres' number 9 and coming back from a lay off from injury, if he doesnt hit the ground running people will be saying waste of money not worth 35m etc
-
liverpool are coming across desperate as fuck in all of this. As much as we all rate carroll and value him more than anything, if pool are offering £40mil! the rest of the football world will be giving it a
-
if he stays what are the chances he doesnt fully recover from injury and turns shit haha narr hopefully not
-
i bet the improved bit was something wank like £31 mil and not 35
-
haha rejected!!! keep batting them away mike
-
£35-40mill probs wont get anywhere near 40 as i bet the add-ons would be like finish top 4 or something which they probably won't but still if it is like 37-38 its a hell of alot of money and IF its reinvested wisely with players abroad for cheap like tiote ben arfa could see us progress well but obviously the more likely scenario is we will buy crap and sink further and further down. my heart says stay head says its alot to turn down for a newly promoted club this season.

Would he not be competition for Nolan's position?
-
the phrase "didnt get enough purchase on it" always brings a to me for some reason

Thing that grated me about the rafael sending off was the ref walked towards the incident, didnt look like giving a card but then as soon as he saw who it was he goes oh yeah 2nd yellow = red WOOOO! Too many refs do this all the time for me don't look like booking someone then as soon as its someone already on a yellow they change their mind and book them.

that 'moment' when he was on the edge of the box was special
