Said it before but I can imagine Liverpool will be the ones that bid if any in the summer. I think they stored up some decent PSR room, probably sack off Nunez. That being said if they win the league and other cups + if Salah stays, they may think they don't need to splash out and keep doing what they are doing buying cheaper across Europe. Nah it's gonna be Chelsea that come calling again isn't it. It's always Chelsea. I'm choosing not to listen to all the Arsenal bullshit anyways and just enjoying watching a phenomenal talent play in a Newcastle shirt.

Am I right in thinking he hasn't lived up to anywhere near the hype? Haven't seen barely anything in fairness and obviously still very young.
-
Would have loved him to have scored...with his right peg aswell. Would have been perfect. As much as his time here is up, it's concerning that whilst Barnes is out, we don't have another attacking winger to bring on. Willock and Osula are about the the sum of our attacking options to bring in at the moment which isn't quite what you'd expect of a champions league chasing side.

Realised today I take it abit for granted how good he is at times. Yes we have good players dotted throughout the first 11 but he is the difference maker. We're all praising Murphy's form and rightly so. But if he fizzes that pass into the majority of the other strikers in this league and it's probably not a goal. Love when Isak is in the mood because he not only gets in behind and causes havoc but he also drops deep and links the play so well at times.

Won't be easy. Fulham have good athleticism all over the pitch like Bournemouth. Like that game though I think it's more about which version of us turns up. Signs again today that the players are bit leggy. Not sure how much was conserving energy or genuine tiredness. In spells we look excellent still as two of the goals showed today. Fingers crossed the players are at their best. Could do with Barnes getting fit soon to have that extra option off the bench.

Seems to be an Arsenal thing. Keown is the same. You can tell an Arsenal fan up is down but they will swear blind that it's not if it involves their team. Nothing showed that more obvious than loads of their online contingent claiming the Havertz handball wasn't against Villa. So seeing that today doesn't shock me that they will see it as more of the "conspiracy against them".

The weight of the pass into Isak was excellent. Just fizzed in enough to give the defender no chance of intercepting. Just take for granted these days that Isak is gonna take it in his stride and finish so easily. But love the connection the two of them have at the moment. All Murph wants to do is feed Isak the ball. Shame Isak and Gordon haven't quite got the same link up but Gordon has his own qualities.

Fuck me Neville on co-comms every time is so dreary. Makes a fairly excitable game so far sound like watching paint dry.
-
Yeah far better chance of finishing ahead of Chelsea than Man City, especially now they signed a bunch of players to help them out. Not that they are guaranteed to win today or anything but they just have the history of coming back strong in the last few months of seasons.

Woof, Bournemouth. Felt before our game last week that the general vibe is people have been sleeping on them this season and it's been proven last two games. They are two massively ipressive results and performances for them. Hopefully they run out of steam.
-
In real time I was calling for it but when they kept showing that side angle it looked ok. Only thing I think that does him is he's slightly behind Isak which means he's tackling from behind. But when the ref didn't give I'm quite surprised they over turned.

Hasn't been great. Bit worried we look abit off it physically again and could tire 2nd half. Murphy with a real bit of quality for the assist and obvious Isak on the finish. But gifted a pen and we need to put these away quickly 2nd half and keep the first 11 fresh for next game.

Rangers fan ain't he? Like most of us, always less patient and more critical when it's your own team .

Would make zero sense that. First he's not worth that much, I can understand Saudi teams needing to pay more in wages to entice players to that league but why do they need to pay over the odds transfer fees? Was the same with the talk of Casimiro going for like £40m, why? 2nd, he's not a household name by any means, not yet anyway. So hardly gonna get viewers around the globe thinking they must tune in to the Saudi league so they can watch Jhon Duran play. So hopefully it's bullshit as Villa are already far more efficient than we are off the pitch with their PSR manoeuvres, already benefitted massively from that inflated Grealish fee in the past and would put daylight between us and them if they had another £100m to use to flesh out their squad while we seemingly can't spend a penny.

Wonder how often this has happened to us recently. I bet it's difficult for our recruitment team to identify the exact characters they want to sign and get all the finance aligned, only for these other clubs to come in and gazump us and then never even play the players potentially (like Tosin at Chelsea etc.) I know some would say, just move on to another target, but I imagine there is more pressure on us not to make a mistake and get the wrong player, and if you start getting to 5th/6th on your list, I can understand the hesitation to pull the trigger on a deal.
-
Shame we won't be playing this version of City in a few weeks once all their new signings have settled in.
-
Think we lose to Forest at home. It's the exact sort of fixture we struggle in like the Bournemouth one. They won't press as high or aggressively as they did but they will have a rock solid low block which we struggle against often, with plenty of counter attack pace aswell. Still have nightmares of that Wood hat-trick and him turning Burn inside out and dinking over Dubravka. All the ingredients are still there for history to repeat.
-
Gotta love this PSR world where shite 3rd/4th choice goalkeepers are getting moved around from club to club for huge sums of money, whilst earning decent coin themselves despite never making appearances. That's the football I fell in love with as a kid.
-
Imagine ten years ago or whatever saying Wayne Bridge and that guy who makes the silly FIFA videos on YouTube will have a staged boxing fight and will likely earn millions for doing it. What an era were living in.
-
I didn't think Arsenal fans could get any worse in their blinkered views of all things Arsenal. But seeing so many trying to claim they have been robbed because they don't think the Kai Havertz handball was a handball? Speechless.

Looked miles off it. One game too many for some of the lads maybe after a quick turnaround from the last game. Bournemouth's athleticism as I thought it would before the game caused us seriously problems defensively. Forced us to play through Burn, who kept playing poor passes into midfield that caught us out on both the first 2 goals. Hall got done for pace badly early on and never recovered. Trippier is finished at this level and his defending for their 4th was horrendous. Rest of the team just not on it and were a yard off it all over the pitch. Playing crazy cross field passes straight to them multiple times until it finally cost us on the 3rd goal. Not able to give our inform striker a sniff of a chance until he wrongfully took over a free kick near the end. Maybe the team needed this game to humble them into not getting ahead of themselves and knowing we need to be switched on for the rest of the season. But ultimately I think it just showed as we have all said the squad isnt deep enough and as soon as this first 11 drop their levels even slightly, we will get undone. Credit to Bournemouth. Battered us.
-
If Schar is fit enough to play he needs to come on 2nd half immediately. We need his passing out.
-
Not a single chance or moment created for the most inform striker in the league tells you how off it we were that half. Not playing yo our strengths and all our weaknesses are getting exposed.
-
Looks abit burnt out today but it's mainly his lack of athleticism here which apart from Tino is evident and across the back 4 and has been a clear tactic from Bournemouth. They know they are quicker and have been aggressive with it.
-
Burn's passing out has been utterly tragic. Clear tactic by them to press everyone but him. Indirectly lead to the two goals. All of them have been sloppy though and aren't dealing with the press. Halls confidence is shook after that first minute. Mentioned before the game our lack of athleticism at the back could cost us here and it's showing currently. Wake up boys.
