  1. Yep. I've seen them. Worst team in the league. Even when they play out of their skin they only scrape good results. http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/2951/alaskafishing.jpg surely?
  2. You think so? I thought he was pretty crap. Almost bobbled both crosses that he got to and at one point was in no man's land. Pretty bad judgment overall but all of that can only get better with experience so I'm not too worried.
  3. Thought it was a very professional job from us in the last 20 minutes or so. We kept a lot of posession and knocked it around nicely without resorting to the long-ball that often. Boring as fuck in the end but still very glad we got 3 points.
  4. Absolute beast. Could be our most important player. He wins us back possession so often it's amazing.
  5. Shola has put a lot more movement in than Carroll but they are both about on par.
  6. Horrible first 15 minutes or so. We need that goal against us tbh. Might actually make us look like a squad that wants to play.
  7. Barton wide right? Come on Chris, you always seem to get one thing right (dropping Perch) and a new thing wrong (Barton on the right).
  8. Good, especially if he is played at right-back. S.Taylor - CampbellWilliamson - Coloccini - Enrique
  9. Proper fucked if this actually happened.
  10. A sad day for the league. Always had a soft-spot for Pompey.
  11. Does Tuncay even play on the left? I thought he was more in the withdrawn striker role made famous by wor Kevin Nolan.
  12. Same Wenger quotes, two different articles: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=834984&sec=england&cc=5901 - "Rooney deal no surprise to rival managers" http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6461314,00.html - "Wenger surprised by Roo-turn"
  13. Maybe he signed the deal but they agreed to sell him in the summer? He doesn't get booed and they get more money when they do sell him in the summer, works for both parties.
  14. Why would Real get into a player-swap deal when they can just pay a cut-rate price and keep their players while adding another?
  15. This photo just makes me realize what a fucking rollercoaster Keane has been on over the past two or so seasons.
  16. the Vancouver Whitecaps have started to sell a NASL-era retrokit for their first MLS season that looks fucking lush: http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/7314/19164.jpg

    MLS 2010

http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/garber-fans-brought-mls-cup-2010-toronto I have to say, what a waste of an expansion. They can't even fill one stadium in NY, what makes them think they'll fill two?
  18. I feel pretty much entirely this way. Changing managers is not the correct option at this point. Let's get some players in during the next window and go from there. We won't be dead in the water come January so there's no need to panic.
  19. I'm talking about football in general. Very different climates, expectations, and above all, gulfs in class. You could go from Div 2 -> top 3 finish in the First Division in those days. These days, never.
  20. To be fair, comparing what KK did in the 90s and what Hughton has to deal with now is like apples and oranges. Two totally different climates in football.
