  1. This. He went down under a pretty hard challenge when we were making some good movement and then he got back up after a little while and played on. Pulis needs to shut his fucking trap.
  2. Was odd like, looked like nothing from the Gallowgate end. Looked like nothing on the replays too. Not much contact and didn't seem to land on it with much force at all. Must have hit exactly the wrong spot. not much contact? was right in front of us and looked like no contact at all. From the replay it looks like he puts his arm down to break his fall and Enrique (not on purpose) kind of knees him in the shoulder and it clearly dislocates.
  3. we should give Lovenkrands a chance, has he even played a single minute in the league for us this season? Before people start saying that he's completely average, which i dont exactly disagree with, he is probably the best player at our disposal that can play that position. It's because he's the most mobile. It seems like everyone else would rather play Ranger though which I don't agree with.
  4. Yeah me too, he was fucking gutted when the OG went in.
  5. Pretty saddened that Hughton took off Tiote and Ben Arfa when clearly Nolan is the one that should come off. I think he'll learn from that mistake though (hopefully).
  6. Bad day on the park for us. If we would've capitalized on the first half we would've won but we let them get back in to the match. The own goal by Perch is going to be taken very hard by him as I don't see the fans letting him back into their good graces unfortunately. Death sentence whether he deserves it or not.
  7. This. Until the own goal went in and he lost all confidence he played probably his best match for us.
  8. Frustrating half. We have been playing some good possession ball (and have had a lot of it) but don't really have anything to show for it. We are just pinging it around with no cutting edge. Would like to see us create a few opportunities in the next half. I would sub Jonas on for Nolan and move Ben Arfa to the center. Maybe even throw R Taylor on for Perch (who has had a good match so far) because we've gotten a fair few free kicks right outside the box that have been wasted.

Fucking hell, it looks more like Bleachers then proper stands. Apart from the glass tunnel nothing on there look anything special. I'll be honest. I've been to that stadium to watch a match and it was above average but the stands were definitely "bleachers" - although with the addition of the roof it will really keep the chants/sounds in the stadium. They have a really good supporters group that will help fill the ground with sound. They were definitely the first on my list to be announced as a new franchise for 2012.

The Cascadia Cup (a competition between the big three in the NW - Portland, Seattle, Vancouver) will be tasty next season with everyone finally being in the same league again.

This pretty much. They'll just move the franchise to a different city, it's what they would do in other sports. Which is totally fucked up. You are right, it is. But it's really the only way to make things competitive in the long run around these parts, especially if they aren't going to implement a relegation/promotion system. When they make the mistake of opening a franchise in crappy places (San Jose for example), they will eventually have to move them.

Not sure if it's been mentioned in this thread (probably has) but Montreal were officially offered the 2012 expansion team for MLS. Really excited for that because the matches I have been to in Montreal have always been good - they have a really cultured fan base when it comes to football (and they call it football there too!) in Montreal. Looks like they'll be doing some renovations to the stadium as well: http://www.montrealmls2012.com/stade.php?language=EN
  14. Will be in a good position if we win tomorrow.
  15. Will Fabregas be back/be coming back for this match?
  16. You guys are being starved - we have seen the lot here in Oz, even the LC game at Chelsea AND the Stoke game is televised by Foxsport on Sunday night,,,, No we're not. This season I've already seen the Man U game, Villa, Wolves, Everton and Chelsea game. Since Setanta died here, Fox Soccer channel and Fox soccer plus show the majority of the games. Usually we get about 6 of the 10 in the week plus all Champions league games and recently the Carling Cup. We don't get Plus here yet, I don't think. This is the first game that has been on FSC as far as I know. A new channel is an absolute joke when the majority of the programming on FSC is paid ads and worthless filler. We don't get Plus on AT&T U-Verse at the moment either but every Newcastle match has been on it
  17. Draw suits me. Keeps Sunderland below us where they belong and keeps Liverpool in the shit. Yeah after I posted that I thought a draw might be best.
  18. Wouldn't mind playing against the Arsenal first-team to be honest. They look fucking woeful.
  19. Can't believe I actually want Liverpool to win.
  20. Check out the Fox Soccer Channel website, they have a place where you can search for pubs/restaurants that get the Fox Soccer Channel. Then just make sure that they are open at 11am to show it. It's a little bit of a drive but I'll be in Downtown Orlando at a place called The Celt that is showing it on a big screen, they have a great full Irish for breakfast as well. Also if you don't mind driving there's a place over by Universal on International Drive called The Cricketer's Arms that will be showing it and it's always a great place for a bit of banter.
