There are so many back and forth opinions about Duff but the main issue at hand is: why wouldn't you want him to come good? It'd be like having a new player all over again and one that could be almost world-class again. There are no negative aspects to him coming good. He could be a really valuable player for us if he does show his true colors again (and without having to get someone new in spending valuable transfer money).

Looking forward to Harper getting a chance to snatch a goal or two in his striker position.

The hypocrisy of Man Utd is startling. How dare they go after Berbatov pubically after they told Real not to go after Ronaldo pubically. The problem is they know they can just throw money at the problem (after they are found to breach the rules and get fined) and are no worse for the wear. Fining them is not the answer, but unfortunately I don't know what is.

Last sentence isn't true at all, Warnock is, if anything, closer to being the opposite of how you describe Enrique- who actually isn't that bad going forward. Agreed. We didn't get a really great look at Enrique throughout the season like we all have Warnock. I really expect Enrique to come to terms with the Prem this season and be more comfortable with going forward. He's young and still needs time, which is the most important part, and I really hope that KK will give it to him this season.

Top ten, max. Europe? laff. We've got to stop living in the past and start living in the future. We're a team for the future now and this upcoming season will hopefully make a lot of people readjust their view of NUFC into what we actually are - a team that can hopefully be in the top 10. I think we can do it, and possibly even push for an Intertoto Cup spot, but realistically we're in the top 10 comfortably with a bunch of blossoming kids on our bench.

The loss of Emre will have no negative effect on the team, he's either injured or ineffective so getting rid of him is a plus as far as I'm concerned. He may have been all that, he is/was also our best midfielder in terms of natural ability.. When has he ever shwon that natural ability? Certainly not in his set-pieces. He may have taken some shitty corners, he has also taken some of our best free kicks in recent years. Can't think of many tbh, the winner in 3-2 against mackems was aboslutely brilliant but apart from that none stick out. Not that it matters anyway as we'd only get 10 or so games out of him so all this talk is redundant. His goal against Reading to win it for us 3-2 was pretty magical as well.

And Zenit are likely to accept our 12 million squids after turning down the same amount from Barcelona because...? Because we're not direct competition. How crappy would Zenit feel if they were paired against Barca in the CL and Arshavin tore Zenit apart? They'd rather sell to someone who isn't in direct competition with them to be honest, especially if we're going to pay the same transfer fee as Barca.

Really hope Shay doesn't get the #1 outright at the beginning of the season. He's been outshone by Harper this season and I feel as though it's Harper's to loose and not Shay's to expect back. Although Shay's track record with being #2 hasn't been great and I expect some unsettling within the camp until Keegan restores Given to #1 and Harper back to #2.

When he's fit, he's one of the best in the biz in his position. His creativity is astonishing at times. He's a great target man to have on the pitch because he will usually create something and is great at holding the ball up. I don't see why we'd get rid of him.
