  1. there's also this one, although it seems like it might be fake? (a few too many"lol" for a bloke). Although he does seem enough of a knob to post crap like this. http://www.myspace.com/andycarroll39

    Riise

I rate Riise very highly. Great free kick taker, great defensively, great offensively - what's there not to like? If we could get him on the cheap he'll class us up a bit and add more competition for places (Baba would hardly pressure Enrique for his spot). Can play left mid as well. If we want to be in Europe we'll need a bigger squad and the only way to do that is to buy players, especially if they are quality, proven players like Riise.
  3. Agree that we can't drop Milner, he's one of the most productive people on the pitch. If we get some better balance on other wing he won't have to spearhead every attack and won't get burned out so early.
  4. The reason Milner has been playing "crappy" or whatever you guys want to call it, is because of the formation he's been forced to play in. By the second half he's knackered because he's done way more running than anyone else. We need to get to a 4-4-2 where Milner can flourish. Given Beye Taylor Roz Enrique Milner Geremi Emre Zoggy Viduka Martins But that would make too much sense, wouldn't it Big Sam?
  5. I had a dream the other night where, for some reason, I was playing alongside Agbonlahor and someone cut him in half on the pitch as he ran by the bench. Weird.
  6. If you score, you make it into the team of the week. It's pretty a pretty lame nod.
  7. As I said in another thread: it'll be great to have Duff back to help push Zoggy even further with competition for his place. You'll always have a place in a squad if you have a good left foot. Besides, Duff is quality and he will show it.
  8. Great observations. As far as Duff goes: I can't wait to have him for cover. He's quality and will show it when he's back. Also, having Duff breathing down Zoggy's neck can only be a good thing. Hopefully Zogs won't get down if Duff beats him to it though. Competition for places - what a novel idea!
  9. Given Beye Roz Taylor Enrique Milner Butt Geremi Zoggy Martins Viduka We're not going to need any sort of "creative spark" in midfield for this game because: 1) Hopefully we'll be playing against some youngsters 2) We're at Arsenal so we might be up against it most of the time. (aka more defensive minded if they don't play all youngsters) 3) We'll have to hit them on the break with Viduka to hold it up as Martins runs past him. Roz to hit most of the headers but Taylor to cover if it goes through on the ground. Butt and Geremi in midfield to hold the experience over the (hopefully) Arsenal youngsters. Somehow I doubt we'll be getting as weak of an Arsenal team as we all hope.
  10. At least Blackburn is a half-decent footballing side. They've got some good stuff happening on that big green thing in the middle of ewood park. Boro - see ya! Only half of that end is away, the other half is for home fans. Although the Portsmouth half of that end was no where near filled either.
  11. ugh, should have read that before I did! hopefully he doesn't have the one where your intestine goes into your sack.
  12. Santa Cruz is looking a very good steal for Blackburn. I think Torres is also a great buy (although maybe a little $$) but I only think he'll do that good if Kuyt is sticking in there and creating the opportunites for Torres. Bale is looking quality as well. I really thought Van Persie would step it up this year but has yet to flatter himself. It's only the 5th week I'm sure there will be more. One last name: Arteta. We need him in our midfield.
  13. I've thought about that, but I think we have enough cover up front. I just hate to see such talent (probably) go to someone else in the Prem.
  14. Would be a great addition to the squad for some cover up the middle - one for the future. He'd add some good steel along with Smith/Barton/Geremi/Butt and would be a great apprentice.
  15. Heard some sort of rumbling that this isn't going to go through now due to some work permits? Anyone else hear anything?
  16. Thought he was a great servant to the game, showing what a true professional should be. I always rated him even after his prime - he truly was a super-sub.
  17. Liverpool have the easiest run out of the above teams. They will almost definitely take the honors.
  18. I actually like it. I hated the home kit till I actually saw it on the pitch. I only think the kits we have look good though when they are tucked in. If you're a Milner you just make it look bad by not tucking it in.
  19. I agree with everyone above - he's exactly what this club needs right now. He's helping steady and uncertain ship and the club, the fans, and the Premiership needs it.
  20. I wish. I'd love for a team to come through and play purely offensive football with a strong three man defense. I'd love even more for that team to be us.
  21. That was down to lack of skill, not a willing display of neglect. Like the guy above says, he may be s*** but he does try. He's always out there sweating and running around to the best of his ability, the fact of the matter is though he's out of his depth. A SPL/Championship player at best.
