  1. Sounds good man just shoot me a message and we'll grab a few.
  2. We need to grab a pint while you're in Orlando man, I have to see if this how you actually talk in person.
  3. That's the show I was talking about in the other thread. Disgraceful tbh.
  4. I wear white boots but they aren't flashy or anything. They are these bad boys: http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/4924/airlegendiifgwhite.jpg

That's why Hughton gets paid the big bucks. He doesn't overract like all of us on the forum.
  6. Eh? Which review show was this, sounds mental. It's called the "Premier League Review Show" over here and is narrated by Marcus Buckland and put out by TWI. They use the commentators from the matches though and it was the same two that most people were complaining about over here. One of them literally says that Coleman's tackle on Nolan was a goal saving tackle. They also edited it together to show a bunch of Everton highlights and not really any Newcastle highlights other than the goal and the cross that Nolan put in that was deflected and Howard had to save.
  7. Always have mine tucked in because it's easier to show the ref that your shirt's being grabbed that way.
  8. Just saw the "highlights" on our review show over here and surprise surprise, it looked like Everton was in control of the match and Nolan's penalty shout was definitely "a goal saving tackle" Fuck off.
  9. He'd do well to stay clear.

    MLS 2010

Thought I might put this in here but my team the Portland Timbers (expansion team next season!) got a winner in stoppage time last night in Puerto Rico (on what has to be the worst pitch I've seen in quite some time) with a class goal. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=157685394257997&ref=mf (see if that link works!) Was the dude's debut as well, youngest player to ever play for the Timbers. This also brings up another downside to MLS and top-flight football in America - the commentators. Absolutely horrendous (especially on non-televised feeds like this one).

My big problem with the MLS is the way the game is played, it's very forceful. It's really just the way that "soccer" is coached over here from a very young age. Lots of long balls and trying to make the glory passes that aren't really on. Football is a game of possession but that seems to go out the door at MLS matches - it's always very back and forth where no team really retains any possession.

It's really weird because there is such little real talent in the league that there is so much parity amongst the squads. It really just depends on the day, you could either lose 2-0 or beat the same team 3-2.
  14. Imagine if SAF had held on to him. Vidic, Ferdinand, Pique. Would be a great three to choose from.
  15. If Anelka doesn't get on then surely Berbatov comes on as an auto-sub, no? I mean transferred.
  16. Damn shame that I dropped Berbatov and replaced him with Anelka in the fantasy squad this week.

If I were to try and swing that kind of stuff I would wait by where they come out/in of the stadium to grab some autographs, they are generally pretty cool about it.
  18. I don't remember the exact incident but during the match something happened that didn't go Everton's way and he literally groaned out-loud.

DC v Houston will probably be a better game but then again, most of MLS is like watching paint dry. With that cheaper ticket you'll still be able to get down in the front if you want, just wait till the OAPs checking tickets at the end of the tunnels turn around or walk through with a large group.

It's from that MC Hammer song back in the 90s.
