  1. such a weird rumour. You might as well go to up to 50m ffs. They’d know you wouldn’t walk away over 3m.
  2. As shit as they are now, they’re so big that they’re only one or two good summer windows away from being back up there. It’s fair enough to have a nice little giggle now, while we can.
  3. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/08/16/journalist-tuchel-has-told-40m-newcastle-target-that-he-is-not-going-anywhere/ Possibly a dodgy source but Gallagher going nowhere according to this.
  4. Scored 13 goals and 16 assists in all competitions last season and nobody said anything. Definitely underrated.
  5. They’ve made some pretty good signings on paper tbf. Bit of time left in the window but we seem to be behind (in terms of quality additions) the other teams gunning for that 7th spot. Regarding Kehrer, from the few times I’ve seen him he’s looked okay. Not a signing that’ll do anything to breach the top 6 but slightly better than what they have.

    João Pedro

Wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s a no brainer, 30m is quite a bit of money for a guy who’s had (I think it’s fair to say) a fairly low-key season in the top-flight. That being said, I really like him.
  7. Nunes could star for a team looking to win the Champion’s League. Fair to say that level of player does more than ensure their survival.
  8. Genuine question, how many Portuguese stars have they sold on so far? Jota’s one.
  9. Could honestly be a starter for any team in the world. He’s that good. Insane signing for them.
  10. Wolves surely can’t be getting both Ramos and Nunes (just in terms of fees). Would propel them into top 7 contenders. Not to be a “bed wetter” but we surely need to be outspending the likes of Wolves if we’re serious about pushing for European places.

    João Pedro

I like him but, for 30m we’re better off going for Ramos who’s more of the finished article currently.
  12. Re: Nunes. Not sure why no one else was in for this guy. So good.
  13. Fair, but- good or otherwise -clubs have players who they’re more willing to let go than others. Watford have just sold a striker so you’d imagine they’re not in any rush to lose another but for a really tasty offer.
  14. Unlike us to bid for a player a team doesn’t want to sell. Mentioned this earlier but he’s actually pretty decent. Don’t see them selling though unless it’s a silly bid.
  15. He’s not bad tbf. Young, can play on the wing and upfront, similar in style to Ekitike. Don’t see him improving us currently, though.
  16. Not sure about that. He’s ridiculously 2-footed and, arguably, his biggest strength is how well he can strike the ball. He’d get a lot of joy cutting in from that left-side.
  17. Would have been an amazing signing. Been underrated for a while.
  18. He’s more suitable to Tuchel’s play style than CHO though.
  19. Wouldn’t say it’s weird. He’s young, very quick, English and a tireless presser. Probably not averse to playing a bit-part too. Seems like a sensible transfer despite their embarrassment of riches in his position. This Should help us in nabbing either CHO or Pulisic though, which is a bonus.
  20. Price, Kante injury, home-grown quotas and the fact that he could be a Chelsea starter after a few years.
  21. That “If” is doing a lot of heavy lifting there, like.
  22. I’d take any of the wingers he’d be replacing for them .
