Aye, I didn't know Frimpong was gay either.

  4. I'm usually in 1892 because, imo, it boasts the best view. The atmosphere may not be as good as some of the other stands what with it being seen as the "posh section" but there aren't many areas of St. James' that escape the buzz if we're doing well. Away games are a great first-time experience as well. Good luck
  5. With Best and Ben Arfa now in contention for the same spot, who gets dropped if this chap enters the picture?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I'm sorry you had to see that.

Putting Shola in the starting 11 is a farcical decision.

    Nolan Roux

Good player, lots of potential and just what we need. Fingers crossed.

    Sunderland...

If Bruce gets sacked, i'll put some money on Mark Hughes getting the gig.
  11. I wouldn't say say he was inconsistent, he's had 1 bad(ish) season in a team that vastly underachieved. I'd take a player who I've seen and is highly-rated over a "solid" player that I've never seen play, any day.
  12. Haven't seen Pieters play and, whilst its not necessarily a massive indication of his ability, had never even heard of him before our interest. I've seen Cissokho play a fair bit and think he's a great player with a massive future ahead of him. I've mentioned this before but he's very highly-rated and it would be considered a sizeable coup if we managed to sign him. As its looking more likely that (out of the two) Pieters will join, how good do you reckon he is RKO?
  13. It would be a no brainer if you were only looking at the player's ability but I'll bet Cissokho will want at least 10k a week more than Pieters as well as the fee being higher. If that doesn't get the hierarchy running scared I don't know what will. Sorry if it was a bit unclear, what I meant was that if all the monetary factors (wages, fees etc.) were held constant and we were looking at ability alone, then Cissokho should definitely be the one to pursue. We're talking about a player who was linked to Barcelona not too long ago and one that I thought would be 'too good' to want to sign for us. If he wants to join us and is willing to accept a sensible wage (even if it would be higher than what Pieters would accept), then we should be busting a gut to get him through the door. 8 million euros for him would be a steal.
  14. I'd much prefer Cissokho over Pieters, cracking player and very highly-rated. If they were both the same price this would be a no-brainer.
  15. That was a very interesting read. Cheers
  16. Lyon will accept the bid but, just like the other targets we've missed out on, he'll wait and see if a bigger club stumps up the same kind of money and go to them.
  17. My reaction if he signs: http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x3/dumdum5555/Tumblr%20Gif/tumblr_lpulj6TNNA1qgid6k.gif
  18. I think people on here underestimate Sunderland's midfield a tad. Don't get me wrong, it's not world-beating by any stretch of the imagination but potentially good enough to cause us a few problems, this, despite a distinct lack of pace on the left-hand side though. The winner will be who wants it more tomorrow, and who shows up. Hoping for yet another Sunderland capitulation.
  19. People might make fun, but I've seen some clips of the lad on youtube and he looks really fast. Managed to build a conservatory in 2 weeks.
