  1. Unless you want to count making the tallest flagpole in the world… and even that ended up about half the size it was supposed to be.
  2. They’ve been doing that anyway for the last 2 plus years. Their main focus has shifted to bringing more investment into the country. Regarding NUFC, if they make us the no. 1 football club globally it would be the first time in PIF’s history that they’ve actually fulfilled their promise of making something the best in the world.
  3. A model that has never once shown it can upset the apple-cart. Pretty much every club under the top 6 does this to varying degrees of “success”. We were buying proven young PL stars mixed in with proven young internationals. Is it hubris sticking to the same policy that allowed us to break through in the first place? It’s baby out with the bathwater stuff. The model you’re referring to is exactly what we did with Minteh yet every step over he does leads to scathing criticisms of our transfer policy.
  4. “Let’s buy undervalued players from the continent” what a novel idea that no one’s ever thought of! What a pioneer that Mitchell is. It’s the same kind of model that clubs who don’t win things employ; and the same one that Ashley put in place a decade ago. I honestly never thought fans would back Mitchell over Howe after that interview and failed window but here we are.
  5. People better be trolling with the “Howe won’t last til Christmas” posts.
  6. Yer ma used to say it a lot too. (safety smiley: )
  7. Longstaff is better off the ball and, throughout the course of a season, would likely outscore Tonali. Tonali just feels like the better player; certainly his physicality, vision and technique are levels above what Sean brings to the table.
  8. Chelsea are doing everything they can to circumvent psr. As outsiders we should champion them making fools of these rules instead of hoping they get reprimanded.
  9. Is there a sense of entitlement creeping into the fanbase or is that a bit unfair? Crowd definitely seem more up for it when we’re seen as underdogs.
  10. Who would you bring in that would do a better job?
  11. It’s okay to be disappointed about the result but see some positives in the performance. Losing all faith in Howe on the back of that game beggars belief.
  12. We look dangerous enough. Brighton are just defending well and quite deep.
  13. We look at it today. Let’s give them a hiding, come on!
  14. That’s typical Murphy there, couple good touches then over runs it…
  15. Reads like it. Or is it just literally the same one and I’m being thick ?
  16. Wouldn’t bother reading that if you’ve read the other Knutsen article. It’s just another statsbomb advertorial with the same quotes.

    England

Often plays with a lot of 10’s so should suit the players we have.
  18. Could see us going for Evan Ferguson for big money if -god forbid- we lost Isak. Seems like Howe’s been looking for a target-man style striker for a while. Massive downgrade obviously, but who wouldn’t be?

Do we know why he’s fallen out with his bosses in the past? If the issues have been transfer-related or control on the training ground then it’s all good. Tbf any successful manager worth his salt would clash with Boehly and co.
