tbh it was just an excuse to plug Summerville. Apparently we were looking at him in January and I think he’d be great for us.

We’re much better off with someone like Summerville imo and, for the likes 30-40m, I really hope it’ll be one we’re looking at. I think he’d be perfect for Eddie Howe. Can see him getting Eze/Olise levels of hype after a season in the prem.

I think most sensible people know why this deal has come about. If anything we’re highlighting the absurdity of PSR rules that we’re having to pay actual money for a player of his ability as a makeweight to ensure we’re within the limits. I’m sure we’ll start seeing us going for our real targets after this stupid PSR deadline expires.

Mate, it’s a toss-up whether he’s better than Gillespie. He’s nowhere near Trafford and shouldn’t even be our third choice goalkeeper in an ideal world. I sound like a broken record here but he’s genuinely an awful goalkeeper. Like truly, truly bad. Benfica would essentially go into a game expecting to be behind the first time a shot came to goal.

We’re not paying that for OV, surely? We’d be getting robbed blind for a quarter of that price. PSR or not, there’s favourable rates and then there’s just pure stupidity.
