  1. I have a bad feeling about this. I don’t think he leaves this window but I think he may be the one we sell to comply with PSR before next June.
  2. Madueke has a much higher ceiling but, despite being a more limited player, I think Elanga suits our play more. I’d much rather go for the former if they’re anywhere close in terms of valuations though.
  3. An inflated loan fee (of let’s say 10m) and an obligation to buy (let’s say for 35m) and it’s a deal that could suit both parties.
  4. He’s due a breakout season and hopefully it’s with us. Bit inconsistent but he’s super talented; if he takes to Eddie’s training then I’ve no doubt he could be one of the best wingers in the league.
  5. Honestly, if it wasn’t for his injuries over the past few years I reckon Kelly would be England’s starting left-back (or in the squad at the very least).
  6. The commentator on my stream seems to be watching a funeral of some kind.
  7. @timeEd32 quick summary, how much would you expect us to spend on transfers this financial year? . I’m sure that’s all people really care about.
  8. You’d imagine he’d have to start for us if he’s on that kind of money then (if that site is reliable).
  9. Good post. 150k a week for Kelly seems ridiculously high though. Not having a go but where did you get that figure from?
  10. There’s definitely something going on; the Liverpool links are incessant. No smoke without fire etc. The reported 2 years left on his contract is a worry (as well our our PSR position next June) but still fairly hopeful we can tie him down to a new deal soon and all of this goes away.

https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/chelsea-linked-with-shock-move-for-defender-seemingly-set-for-newcastle-united-switch-report No chance imo, but imagine .
  12. Should probably be in the Ffp thread as there’s a few interesting snippets in there.
  13. Interesting to know what his role entails. On the surface it sounds quite progressive.
  14. Robert for Ritchie and Cisse for Martins (just) and that’s mine, probably. Rondon, Ba and Solano are unlucky to miss out.
  15. He’s by pretty good tbf; Bayern and then Brighton were heavily interested earlier in the window as wel.
  16. I hate the rules and I actually welcome anyone taking the piss out of them. No one likes Chelsea but the fact that they’re being super savvy finding loopholes is something I wish we were attempting too. The more ways clubs can find to skirt around these bent restrictions the quicker we can get rid of them and actually compete with the cartel imo.
  17. So we’re okay with the PL restricting revenue streams that allow teams to spend the money they want now?
  18. Madueke looked like prime Ronaldo in the Dutch league; he’s due a breakout season in the prem and I’m hoping it’s with us. I think a loan with obligation would be okay if finances are a bit tight.
  19. Makes sense though, unfortunately. With our funds being limited, there’s no point buying a mid rw just for the season; buy nice or buy twice and all that.
  20. My younger brothers are going to this; like me, they’re mulatto (although one could pass as a full-on white), is it safe for them to attend? Them saying stuff like “it’s fine, we’ve got hands for those idiots” isn’t helping to ease my worries!
