If I had the time or the inclination I could make an absolutely shocking video showcasing Sissoko's laziness. It really is pathetic and usually happens when we're behind. I think he's a big reason why we completely capitulate in a lot of games. He's rarely lazy going forward, even when we are behind, but has zero interest in defending even the slightest bit at times. This is not a question of talent or a belief that midfielders should defend first. It's all about effort.

Not watching the game but imo if they've been picking them apart after the third or fourth then I think that's poor sportsmanship. If Malmo's been making a hash of it then fine. But at 4-0 you know they're outclassed and not coming back, no need to rub it in. It's a competition called the Champions League. I hope they win 17-0.

I generally agree with Ian's feeling that a manager should be able to survive a poor run off the back of some success. However, the value of being in the Premier League these days and the danger of relegation makes it more understandable to me. I still don't get why US sports' owners act like this when their money is guaranteed and there are rewards for a poor season.

I thought Thauvin did well and can understand that approach. I really like the idea of using Mitrovic in that situation though as he could actually win a header or hold up the ball and may start a counter.

With effort we beat one of the top 6 teams in the league 2-0. With no effort we lose to an average team 5-1. It should be so fucking obvious to the players, but can they work that hard every week? We'll see.

Thrilled with the 3 points, but not getting my hopes up until we put in a similar effort against Spurs and, most importantly, Villa.
