Football is a short career as we know, your only an injury away from ending it, if the guy only has one year left then the club know they're backing a losser regardless, so may as well move on at a fair price and bring in another up and coming player.Isak wise 3yrs to go he's the one or his agent is, that's on the losing side, we can just sit back and relax , for those 3 yrs if we have to, he's cost us what £20m a year nowt in real terms.
  2. Unlucky not to score from what I've seen
  3. Cheer up everyone, there's 4 weeks or so to go, plenty of time, let's judge the window at the end.
  4. We weren't happy with that type of bill for attempting to borrowing the plonker from man ure, why is this good business, fee why.
  5. I've never known a window where at least half a dozen players have refused possibly to come, neither have ever known a window where in my eyes clubs are running scared and deliberately taking our potential targets by paying over the odds knowing our restraints, to ensure we don't get them,
  6. Not that I want Ramsdale, but could this be used as a backup door to flog Pope, though I appreciate Dubs would be the primary one to go.
  7. Nope, been a supporter since I used to climb the stairs at the Gallowgate end in 1964, seeing the guys we had then, Jinky Smith, Pop Robson. Gordon Marshall, Peter Withe, Franky Clarke , the great Leeds team of the 70's, in the Leazes end for that game when there was a the gates were locked at 1:30pm for the 3:00 pm k8ck off for that game.
  8. Any chance of scrapping this thread, getting well beyond a joke what's going on , never known anything like this since I began supporting he club.
  9. Just seen Eddie's press conference impression I gained unless it was the camera, he looks washed out and well pissed off, very down beat not his normal self.
  10. Club hierarchy adamant he's not going for less than £150m, so whomever comes in are gonna have to cough up.
  11. If we sign Sesko and Wissa, personally I would put Isak on the subs bench and let him stew for the season.
  12. Was he a plant to cause all this agro, only a conspiracy theory.

If this goes ahead, at least we have insurance for the striker roll, whilst Isak sits in the cold with a long time to think about things.
  14. Ordinarily I would say not too far, but pretty sure there are a few out there that would come , maybe slightly below the level we require that could improve .
  15. That's if Isak keeps fit which I'm not so sure he will. I think he could be another Wilson longer term, made of glass.
  16. Grass ain't always greener, as many have discovered, short career, has to decide what he thinks is best for him.
  17. Personally, I would ask Isak for the 150m and he can do what he wants, well pissed off with the decision his handlers have taken.
  18. Would this situation push Howe over the edge?
  19. Any strikers around Wizzas age that could do a job for us for the next couple of seasons , fire fighting but we need to do something due to the Isak issue.
  20. That's a good point, normal employees wouldn't have a hope in he'll playing this game
