This.

Yep. Isn't good for team mates either.

Contradicting yourself a bit here. Agree on the Everton game but whilst he may not be sulking his body language doesn't exactly suggest he's particularly happy...
-
Ironically, I think it's a confidence thing. He's snatching at them (shots) and not composing himself.
-
Think that's a bit of a sweeping generalisation tbh. I have no issue with Wood. He gives it his all and keeps it simple because he's aware of his abilities (or lack of). There are times when ASMs attitude don't seem quite right/what we currently need and despite him being a very intelligent person and talented footballer he could be so much better if he applied a different attitude or made better decisions, both of which he is absolutely capable of. He's a likeable lad, a talented footballer and an undeniable threat, but we aren't getting the maximum out of Maximin.

There's nowt miraculous about that though is there. It's standard crack...
-
It's not so mich that he doesn't pass as that he doesn't make the right decisions for me. With and without the ball. Should have played to Krafth on the overlap running into the box yesterday being one example.
-
The problem is he's making bad decisions all of the time and has a defsult setting of showmanship. Losing the ball and wafting his arms about, not tracking men and not closing down are all easy ebough fixes and I don't foresee Howe not telling him these things. He was a big fish in a small pond and star of our show under Bruce. Hence why he liked Bruce. He doesn't appear happy anymore because he's no longer star of the show. I'd argue he's been the weakest link in our first 11 since the turn of the calendar year, yet he also poses one of the biggest threats because everyone knows how talented and capable he is. However, at present time, he's not the type of player we need. We need effectiveness and work rate, not step overs and running down blind alleys... Wouldn't get on his back at the game, there's no point, but he's getting by on ifs and maybes at present.

Winner takes all. Toon for the quadruple.

It absolutely is, but the display is not for me. Let's not forget 2 of our fans were shot out the sky attending a football match and that wouldn't get a thought... Justice wasn't provided there either... Just my opinion like. All for remembering them just not as an all out display. -

Aye it was late November/early December if I remember correctly. Seem to recall being in one night when they'd just fixed them and were trialling Local Hero -

To some degree, aye. We deal with him anyway a little bit, but have to be careful not to step on toes, etc. Too -

I chant New-ca-stle for the 3 claps. Actually fits and makes sense. -
I had a slight moment of uncertainty after Cambridge but by and large you could see the improvements being made in almost every other game around that time, and hence my confidence we'd stay up all along. Every single one of the signings have been massive for us (That's right, Wood included) and his management of all of the players but particularly Bruno, Shelvey, Joelinton, Maximin and Miggy has been top drawer. A good man manager. A humble, eager to learn manager. A manager who values the team, not just on the pitch but in the dressing room, and who gets the fans. Love it me.
