  1. It feels like there are some real obvious ones, the 4-4 (Arsenal) , the 5-0 (Man United) , the 3-2 (Barca), 5-1 plor countless wins over the mackems but for me I'd like to mention a few slightly less popular ones. Grimsby (a) when Shearer got done (it was my first parentless away game) The Tottenham 5-1 under Rafa because the resilience of the crowd and atmosphere. 6-0 vs Villa for putting them back in their place For me though, probably the 2-0 vs Tottenham at Old Trafford. The North Stand was bending that day. 0-0 at full time and for about 10minutes prior to that the Newcastle end started ramping up "Toon Toon Balck and White Army". It got incremently louder and livelier as extra time went on. Shearer netted a brace and ran to our cornwr where we were 5 rows back, my Dad picked me up to face a packed North Stand that was bending as the Geordies bounced and said "... see this son, never, ever forget this for the rest of your life." So many other happy and proud moments suppprting Newcastle man. I wish I had the memory to document them. There's not many better feelings than when your club or city do you proud like. It's like lighting a beacon to remind people that Newcastle is the best place on earth.
  2. Definitely think this is a good idea if not for a banner or whatever maybe for a display that's done once a season or something. will raise it again with the group, but if I'm honest I think it may not be until next season at the earliest now.
  3. Nice to know, cheers. I think we kinda get carried away and set ourselves high standards tbh. The conversations in the group foe the remaining home games are interesting as ever
  4. We can, but we need to be conscious of the fact we're kinda making it feel like every game is a big game, I feel. Nowt wrong with that to some degree, 3 points are 3 points. It just makes the 'big games' kinda more difficult to surpass the 'normal' ones. Don't want fans thinking it's boring and getting fed up, so there's pressure on us to keep it fresh.
  5. Exactly. I. Am. Spent. Sorry Espio But nar, seriously, just Bruno. Just Bruno.

Will love it if these stay down. Even more if they just miss out on the playoffs, the arse wipes.
  7. Personally, whilst I enjoyed the display from photos I've seen I think it looked a little unbalanced because the image was too small. Easy to say in retrospect like. Still decent. Thanks for the comments as always folk.
  8. There's already announcements too. Sadly, I think people will continue to do it because they're either oblivious to who is arranging it or purely don't give a fuck. What I don't get, is that, anyone who is an actual Newcastle fan will be aware of Wor Flags by now and how it's fan funded. The people taking them (and not returning them) aren't fans. Opportunist thiefs.
  9. TBH mate cost was the lesser of the two issues. These flags don't come on those poles and those particular poles weren't necessarily the correct lengths. The group only consists of approximately 20 people and approximately 20 helpers of which we only really have half at any one given time (and that's being generous). It took 7 people 3 hours just to make up approximately 1k poles last Friday and then others had to go in all Sunday to put the poles in the seams then tape them. Then we had to put them all out and run checks on the existing ones that were already out. Granted it's a one off operation, but for the sake of half a dozen flags being knicked the cost and additional time wouldn't justify it kinda thing. Don't mean to be dismissive btw. It's a good suggestion we just have to balance things out
  10. Nope. As mebtioned don't want to go down the route of individually labelling flags but like this suggestions of placards beside the doors and will use this feedback to take it to the group. Cheers
  11. Nar na. Don't really wanna go down this route either as labelling them would add to cost and time. Understand the suggestion though, people need to just not be knobs
  12. That pic of Ghodoussi really means something to me like. I just find it really humble. There's a guy, who, could quite easily believe to be well above such an action as waving a 4 quid flag, that is coloured, has little, theoretical significance, but instead chooses to wave it so to feel a part of something more. To remove social barriers and to unite the people behind his business. Clever as it may seem as a cynic, it is beautiful as a (perhaps) naive fan. It brings me absolute joy. This sort of Unity will bring us a bigger, better success than others. Not one with multimillionnaire superstars and a division of stardom and fanatics, but a one of an indestructible community. Newcastle.
  13. Like the idea of miners style flags. I really want us to tap into our local history and everything about the region tbh. There'll be plenty to celebrate of the team in time, I think it's good and right to remind people of our history both on and off the pitch
  14. Aye the little crest looks a bit better. Maybe a blue star would work instead too. Can put this to the group like.
  15. It's canny like. I'll be honest like it's not really my cup of tea but it's a decent concept and could work definitely like the use of the away kit colours - that could be a great shout for other designs like
