Not really. Like I say, the players may compliment one another or perhaps gel better together or whatever. The proof will be in the pudding. I'm not saying he has got it right or he has got it wrong, but the focus shouldn't simply be whether he's took all the best players that's all. We had the "golden generation" and we've had multiple years of thinking we had the most talented squad but won nowt losing out to German sides and other sides with perceived lesser squads.
-
There's a lot to be said for having experienced players and "cheerleaders" in the background though. Helps to set the standards at training, to guide the younger players and to offer cool heads during the crazy moments.
-
We haven't won owt for 60years and that's picking all the supposed best and most talented players available. It's the best team, not the best players, that matters.

Howe is a better manager.
-
I didn't say they didn't have but now you've opened that can of worms Gordon in particular isn't that devoted to NUFC or Howe given he has been underperforming for the vast majority of the last calendar year and has clearly wanted away and now got his move.

I remember reading some time ago something along the lines of "two compatriots were particularly unhappy with Isaks behaviour and sought to confront him". Was blates Bruno and Joelinton. Think they absolutely have Eddie's back too along with Trippier and Lascelles previously.

Look at Krafths...

Hope he has a better time of it next season if he's still here. Hate to be so brutal but have seen Jack shit that suggests he has owt about him presently. Looks out his depth somewhat.
-
I think he is to folk on the basis that we spent is much on Elanga who has admittedly been worse than Gordon this year. Neither have proven their price tags this year for me.

Clearly a very talented footballer. Has had a tough ride this season but he'll pull through. Loveable character I reckon. Really embraced the walk around and kinda endeared himself to the fans further. Howe has tinkered to try and get what suits Nick and the team best and it hasn't quite came off yet. It will though - I reckon... in time.

Agree on most of this but he absolutely, categorically has not been a consistently good player for us overall. He's had good moments and bad. He's been effective and ineffective.
-
I don't think it had owt to do with anyone picking a side and moreso with the fact Bruno was taking the subsequent corner. Feel like it's all something of nowt and folk wanting there to be something where there was nowt tbh. Bruno wants the ball but it isn't a glaringly obvious pass and the moment fast went by and Willock subsequently shot. Meh...so what. They both give their all, all the time. So I'm not too concerned.

I always think of footballers as being very mercenary (as many do) but having watched those videos and with consideration to his time here, it was really refreshing to see the emotion around his departure. Part of our cup winning squad, model professional, no issues, no noise, presumably training hard and stepping in wherever required to give it his all. Deserves a good send off today.

Aye what's he on aboot. Atmosphere has been flat as a fart for 55mins. Stadium half empty too.
-
"Starting to hot up" 60 mins in...
-
Hate the commentator saying remarks about the atmosphere like it's intense and loud and passionate when it clearly isn't. It's an absolute snoozefest of both sets of fans singing "Your support is fucking shit" or whatever iteration of that.
-
Find that sad that, that tradition has been reduced to an empty, silent stadium.

Micah Richards shoes depict this football match.

My God this cup final has been shite. Seems like the most tepid FA Cup final I've ever watched. Two filthy rich clubs who've bought their success, won everything and now days like today are nothing but a day out. Both sets of fans just singing "Your support is fucking shit" and similar iterations. Bland as fuck.
