    Lewis Hall

Happy to say that in the first few games I thought he was one of our weak links defensively. However, since an extended stint in the team, alongside Burn who is an experienced defender and bwhind Joelinton who is a powerhouse - it seems that he has come on leaps and bounds and is currently one of our top performers. I thought Eddie Howe was excellent in his comments about him too. Placed all the plaudits onto Hall instead of taking any credit. Great to see.
  2. If the referee has anything about him he'll book 4-6players second half
  3. TBH mate, we just see it as a good depiction of a soldier and the locality to Sunderland wasn't a driver at all. There will be some Mackems who are annoyed by it, and some who will be desperate for theirs to be better than ours next week - but frankly that's not what any of it is about. From my own point of view - I will applaud Sunderland for doing it right and well just as they should with us. It's about remembering the fallen.
  4. Cheers mate. Was a bit emotional to say the least but was nice to be back and with a bang. Since the boys funeral on Tuesday - Played 2, Won 2, Goals for 3, Goals against 0. Think they didn't like Cockneys Chelsea ✅️ Arsenal ✅️
  5. It is something that has been discussed by the group previously but in all honesty I think just placed on the back burner. We've even had suggestions put to us that somewhere like the Laing Art gallery or Baltic might wish to do a small display of them for spells. All great ideas - I'll ask the group and see what we think on each - thanks!
  6. Perfect as always. Said everything as it has been seen as far as I'm concerned.
  7. We did a display with him (and all our other Geordies) at the end of last season utilising Sean's quote. Can always look to get we more generic flag more akin to the smaller Bruno ones etc. though

Got some last season. We could perhaps get a more 'mainstay' flag though

As a species we dwell on the negatives though. It's a bit like with Pope: Fans were groaning every time it was played back to him yesterday and I 100% understand why. However, audibly groaning before he actually makes the mistake isn't exactly gonna help him to perform better is it. He starts shiteing himself more then it's like some form of self-fulfilling prophecy and then it's spirals downwards each time. I just don't get the mentality of the crowd at times. Was really good to hear the corner singing for SL yesterday. I hope that helps perk him up.

    Anthony Gordon

Love when Gordon presses early doors to make a seemingly unimportant tackle/interception which actually is incredibly important. Sets the tempo and attitude for the game and ignites the crowd. Don't buy into all this "don't celebrate tackles" - they can be game changing

Rightly so. Love winning games me.
  12. Always pretty much bang on in his comments about every single game or event at the club. Done with professionalism, consideration and dignity. Changed up the formation at times, changed up the personnel, had the ball in the net 3 times and hit the post twice...we never looked in danger of losing. Onto the next game, more tenacity, more intensity, get the ball rolling and defeat Brentford to force the doom mongering to dissipate please.
  13. Yeeeeeessssss c'mon! Cannot count our chickens but howay. Sort ourselves out, get it done.
  14. Ridiculous this like. Always the same with the Carabao cup. Get the ball bag out man and have a rummage.
  15. Of the remaining teams we've arguably had the hardest run of games in the competition again. 2 PL games. We all know how ridiculous it was last year too across all competitions. If we get another of the more difficult ties here there needs to be questions asked like.
