Big week for us this and I feel like under Howe we screw our loaf in these circumstances. Heart says we go intense for the next two and get two wins. Head says we likely grab two draws but the performances are there.

I'm not aware of the comments so perhaps a moot point but I think fans or pundits are always likely to say some irrational stuff when they're hurt by shit such as Isak or Salah. Let's face it most people on this site would have considered Isak one of the best 5 strikers in the world 9 months ago. Now most think he's shite.

In my experience I have found Scousers to be quite like Geordies, far more than Mancs for example. I do think though that the NE is inherently different to the NW though - in that - in the NE I feel we're collectively less self-centred and "dog eat dog" and instead more communal and caring/sharing. Can only speak as you find I guess. Perhaps that's just the fact Liverpool and Manchester are such large cities. I think music had played a big part on that too, especially with Manchester.

All very non-Liverpool behaviour they're exhibiting if you ask me. I will firmly place my tin hat on here but when I think of Liverpool as a club and generally scousers as a people I think of them being gritty, hard-working and united albeit probably a bit devious, mischievous and split by football. I know its just stereotyping but there's usually some (at least small) element of truth to stereotypes. You think of Hillsbrough and the way the stood up to The Sun. They stood up for what they felt was right on both sides and have had two successful clubs albeit one far more than the other. Like them or loathe them you have to somewhat respect Liverpool. Now though, this current lot...they're nothing like that. They berated TAA for having the audacity to say he'd like to try and achieve similar/same to what he had there, somewhere else. Then went on to defend Isak in that all too well-known debacle from the summer, acting like they'd never done owt wrong. They've attempted to be devious and instead have been found to simply be greedy and have opted for large scale change at the club in a time when stability was most likely needed for all those lads. You can throw the money out the window (although I know it helps) because irrespective of how fortunate or rich they are their mate just tragically passed away in the summer and it's someone who they'd likely see as much of as their own families. I'm not making excuses for them, but this is when you need your leaders. Slot appears to be dwindling in the face of adversity and frankly that whole summer was catastrophic for them almost. Whether it be trying to reinvent, reignite or revolutionise it has had pretty much the entirely opposite effect. Toys out the pram for Salah who thinks he is beyond performing to maintain his place. Isak - not performing and seemingly not fit after his toys were thrown out the pram. The other young talented lads with no experience or leaders guiding them on how to act professionally. Ironic really, given that Howe has created the direct opposite (albeit in less tragic circumstances). Liverpool are absolutely void of that spirit that has defined them for almost half a century at present. It'll not last and they'll be back, but whilst Isak remains at the centre of this controversy directly or indirectly, I will watch on with a wry smile thinking - yeah...you've got exactly what you deserved.

Yeah - upon review of MotD we appeared to create a lot more than I recalled tbf. I still don't think it was a great performance though and still think it was our worst of the season at home.

Just seen that 09 challenge. What a fucking muppet.

It does happen and that's through a collective understanding that greater output is required and perhaps the anger/disappointment around the decision/other teams antics but I always feel the 11 man side should manage that intelligently and ultimately defeat the 10 man side. We effectively lost 1-0 to it. We were woeful yesterday imo but as others have said, we won with a rotated and perhaps uncohesive side. We will need wins like this if we are to progress as a club on all platforms.

Aye, perhaps. I just see a lot of Elland Road standing and singing and a real feeling of pride that they are "Leeds" and the way they have the banter with us but ultimately see what we see and are principalled with someone like Isak just all rolls together into them being a good, Northern bunch. Perhaps less so back in the day like, and as you say you have probably encountered different which cannot be argued with.

Absolutely not for me. Burnley were the better side and we created virtually nothing. Scored direct from a corner and a penalty. I think there is a real disconnect in fans' perceptions in playing well personally. We played better against Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal and Spurs and dropped points in all those fixtures but because we went in 2-0 up fans think we played well. It is possible to play well and lose and to play poor and win and that's what we've been seeing this season.

Our worst home performance of the season and yet...a win.

And get him cause Palace are in their pocket.

Aye. Irrespective of the last 2 or 3 games Murphy has been our best winger for over a year.

Just something about him having a massive cock and tucking it in his football sock or some shit.

On the cuntometer... Sunderland Man United Then after that it's all pretty tight for me.. Chelsea Arsenal Everton Spurs Liverpool I don't even know... Leeds are so much more respectable than say Burnley or Wolves or many other clubs which makes them more likeable. I reckon Fulham and Leeds are closer to my PL likes than dislikes.
