That's because he doesn't have a clue what to do with it, and can't dribble worth a s****. Not sure how that has anything to do with his quickness though. Thats the point though, speed is only an asset if you can use it, but too many people quote it as one of his best assets when the reality is that there isn't any benefit from the fact that he can run fast. Kieron Dyer, now he was genuinely quick, and when fit would piss on Martins from the top of the Gallowgate. Kieron Dyer was a worse player than Oba though...

I appreciate the information, however I don't really give a fuck about the money aspect of this whole malarky at this current moment in time. I'm just bothered about about staying up. Us being in the situation we are in is well and truely FUBAR.

In my head I think that both have the qualities that the other lacks. In my heart Martins is far greater than Owen. If Owens injury wasn't that bad why didn't he have a pain killing injection like I believe Martins has on numerous occassions recently AND Habib Beye is likely to before Sunday. This dedication goes a long way in my opinion, it's a shame too many of our players have shyed away when the going has got tough. I actually wish Owen would fuck off at the end of the season, despite knowing he will do the business elsewhere. He is the sort of player we don't need at the club, past his peak, on hundreds of thousands a week and doesn't give a shit about the club or anything related to it. The thing with Martins is, despite him sometimes looking like he doesn't care, it's not that he doesn't care (in my opinion) it's just that his head drops and he loses confidence easily. Similar to when he scores all of a sudden he sparks into life.

Think it's rather pathetic telling people not to get upset on camera like....

Everyones, including the fans.

How shit are Setantad replays? Wish they would take the noise off I keep thinking someone has scored again.
-
We must remember that Hull will be the next to go down if we win.

The best thing about this is that they are so obsessed about us, they got too obsessed about us too early, and if we put them down then it serves them right for having such a large chip - in fact not even a chip, a waffle, on there shoulder.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I HOPE TO GOD WE BEAT VILLA!! I REALLY DO! WHAT A BUNCH OF TOSSERS!!!

I don't know what he was actually blowing for like, but nevertheless he shouldn't have blew when he did or he should have at least stood by it. Good on him though.
-
Don't be stupid. He should manage at the World Cup for that.
-
I think Wiley gave a free-kick and then bottled it and let the goal stand....
-
LOLZA. f*** OFF SUNDERLAND YOU SHITBAG SLUTMONGS. I mean, hohoho unlucky you rather undelightful chaps.
-
Why don't we all be rock and roll and just remove all our TV's from our homes via the closed window.
-
Viduka would give them more...
-
I agree, but the mindless Charva mongs who attach themselves to this great club will do it, just like they did after the cup final.
-
They can't be arsed and who can blame them? If our players can't fight for our survival why should we expect anyone else to do it for us?
-
It's bound to happen IF we go down....

I find it amazing. It pisses me off completely but when you think about it it's all quite amusing. Alan Shearer, turned Man United down and yet 10 years later they still sing about him in none-Shearer/non-Newcastle related games. Sunderland have obsessed about his injury that 'finished him' for years since he famously scored his last goal against them inbred twats, and now they're obsessing about his recent managerial stint. This same team aren't even safe yet, and I think they should be focussing on that before they mock us for going down. Tonight kindly reminded me just how bitter these tossers are, even today at work the Mackems saying "ah you Geordies have always been lucky bastards, you'll get out of it and we'll go down." I couldn't believe what drivel was coming out of their mouths. Portsmouth, so enthusiastically joining in songs about Shearer - he played for Southampton like 20 Years ago you pathetic twats. Nevertheless - it's all quite amusing, jealousy is the word that sums up all this behaviour, and while the likes of Man United can just laugh that accusation off with the talent they've consistantly had, what can Sunderland look up to to say they have ever been so brilliant? Naall Quinn and his shitty arsed disco pants? Kevin Phillips and his rat like features? or what about Wearside Jack? The thing that I suppose is most laughable about this whole Newcastle aren't a big club nonsense is the fact that I bet you hear cheer up Alan Shearer at all 10 Premiership grounds on Sunday, and not only that but all the footage and media discussion will be Newcastle related. Okay - we aren't a big club, but let's watch Sky lose shit loads of sales and the BBC have a boring season without us. Let's watch the media not know what to discuss other than the consistenly boring rantings of the big four managers spitting their dummies at one another. That is assuming we go down. We have one game left though, and there is nothing I would like more than to humiliate anyone who ever doubted us and beat Aston Villa, staying up in the top flight...and it IS possible.

I agree with the initial post to a certain extent. My first point would be that if you (not personally) have paid so much for a ticket/season ticket and yet you don't stay for the full game? Then you complain about the prices?...okay well before complaining about prices at least take the most out of what you currently get. Second point, I appreciate there was a lack of commitment and desire on the pitch but there wasn't much more shown in the stands on Saturday. The one word that summed it all up was ocmplacent, everyone expected Hull to be beaten and us to be safe from Monday, admiteddly I was one of those who was less up for the game compared to Monday but I still shouted and balled all game. How can people criticise those on the pitch for a lack of passion and commitment when they show none themselves? (It's basically that timeless argument about what comes first - on the pitch performance or off the pitch performance.) We as fans aren't the best in the world although we are fairly loyal. 50k + every week but only about 5/6k sing and shout and ball. If we do go down we will get a maximum of 30,000 every week I bet and if we were in Leeds' position I bet we wouldn't get what they got the other night. We booed our team off the pitch when they finished 5th and next to no-one stayed for the "lap of honour", Saturday was the same apart from this time fans had more of a right to bugger off. We as fans don't deserve anything more than any other teams fans', but too many of us think we do. I just hope that this season is a wake up call and the dead wood gets removed, both on the pitch and in the stands.
-
I believe we only need a draw to stay up. Something we have done all season just about. However, I think we'll get narrowly beaten.
-
Like many others my head says "no, we can't stay up" but my heart says "yes". 1 Point could be all that is needed, and it is definitely achievable. But given the performances and passion I've seen from our lot this season I cannot see us showing the same amount of heart as what those in the stands will be showing, thus ending up in defeat. I'm on an 8 now - but we aren't down until we're mathematically down.
