  1. Can I ask why? Just think it's a good idea to have one United group who can channel the voices of each fan the right way. Obviously each individuals own opinions won't always be the general consensus of the group, but I think in a lot of circumstances certain opinions will be heavily backed, and by having a respectable group, with mature, sensible members at the top of the hierarchy I think it will be extremely effective. Well, to start with I disagree with that as a description of the group. Thus far they haven't shown themselves to be any of those things. Anyway, letting that slide... Why is this group even necessary... ever? I'm uncertain/unaware of anything to do with the group, I was just saying I think it's quite a good idea to have one thing which all Newcastle fans can use to voice their opinions. I think there are plenty of situations where if Newcastles fans could actually unite they could be even stronger. At the moment their are quite a few individual groups who get their input, some to a lesser degree than others. For example you have nufc.com, True Faith and The Mag who all seem to lead the way in terms of communicating with the club and the fans. Everyone looks to them to channel their thoughts and views. To a lesser extent you have Newcastle Online which has a vast amount of members and a huge variation of opinions and views, but never gives a public statement if you liek of what the general consensus is ont he forums. You obviously have various other forums which do a similar job, but offer a different form of entertainment to it's members. Not sure but I have heard skunkers and a few others mentioned before, for me I go on here and the final one I was about to mention.... Toon Ultras, it's the forum I spend most of my internet time on as well as on here now. I think especially in these times - not as muh with the Ashley saga, but more so the financial and educational commitments it's hard for a lot of people off our site to get to games and stuff. Therefore they are losing interest, obviously the shite we are in doesn't help either. Toon Ultras are far from the finished article and are far different from any of the groups previously mentioned. Not only in their views but also by their ambitions and the core age group. That's why many are struggling to come to terms with what we want to achieve and what we believe in. As a result for me I think by having a main supporters group which we can all have an input in, it will prove beneficial to everyone. Just because sometimes I feel like it's a running battle for who has the last say or the strongest argument, and I for one would love to see Toon Ultras/Bring Back The Noise to grow into something more respectable with older and mature members who can help to progress the levels of support in the ground. I feel it's about time we had an outlet, where we can all get involved in deciding anything from who is on the board to who will throw the streamers when the players come out. It's just about time we United and got a bit of faith and enjoyment back in supporting our club. AND I'VE JUST BABBLED FOR A BIT. I know what i'm getting at, just not saying it the best way as usual.

  4. Not sure but they got to be gutted nusc.com & nusc.co.uk are both gone. Are they? What happened like?
  5. 17th. Initially I would be ecstatic. We would have just about survived another year of top flight football. However, f***ing hell, 17th man...christ. I would be completely irritated and annoyed by finishing that low...we're Newcastle United, we should eb aspiring to be finishing above at least about 8 teams in this league. That's why I said no. No can be the only logical answer.
  6. So, do you have to pay to be a member of the NUSC. I would like to get involved but not massively...

Not too far from my old seat. I was in the middle tier, slightly to the left of the goal but fairly central. I lef that seat for a one in the new singing section.

    Quick Question

You could always sell your ticket on at a cheaper price, but you would still lose out nevertheless. Where abouts is your ST situated? I don't want to sell it though. I know, i'm just asking out of curiosity.

Paid for the 3 year? or did oyu mean it the other way?
  11. So why is he feigning injury then? Is that actually true?
  12. Oba' Martins is one of my favourite players at the club at the moment. I think he seems quite in tune with the fans and has got a genuine passion for the club and the fans.
  13. I fancy putting some sort of accumulator on at the weekend like, will have to wait and see.
  14. £2.25 and half a pack of Airwaves. Going once, Going twice....

    Quick Question

I know it's extremely pessimistic and dare I say it unrealistic.....If the club continues to slump and we get drawn into an intense relegation battle will you still attend as many games as possible? Also, if we get relegated are you buying a Season Ticket for next year/using the one you have already bought? This isn't some sort of Superfan contest like, just curious...
  16. No way in hell. Fulham and West Brom in there we should be looking at getting at least 3/4 points from those two then maybe another 3 from the others imo. Couldn't agree more. That's why I said "This is from my extremely pessimistic view". Newcastle United should be looking to get 12/15 points from them 6 man. Just not under the current circumstances.
  17. I wonder how many of us would take 3 points from the next 6 as long as the 3 were against Sunderland? This is from my extremely pessimistic view - and I can't believe I am going to say this but given our recent form I begrudgingly probably would.
  18. no, because we can't post fixture lists Woops. Edited to be deemed legal ^^^. lolza.
  19. Agreed. It's finances letting me down.... Will be at Fulham though.
  20. Due to my lack of Business knowledge and being uncertain is to how much debt is actually there and/or cleared I am going to say an optimistic.... £250million I reckon this club has great potential still, and if that potential is made real, then it is likely that the owner dare I say it could maybe even make a profit on us if he/she were to sell it again in the distant future.
  21. Likewise. Judging on our current form and issues surrounding the club, how many points do you reckon we can get from the next 6 games? Have an optimistic and a realistic guess.... That team in blue from Liverpool (a) - 1 0 Them smackheads who are now the richest club in the world (h) - 1 0 Inbred Mackem Scum (a) - 3 1 Team who play in stripes from somewhere near Birmingham (h) - 3 3 It sounds like Vanilla (h) - 1 0 Half Pork (a) - 3 1 Total: 12 5
  22. I respect your opinion Di', but the at the end of the day, you don't have to be a shouter to be a good captain. Shearer was an exception, he could show them what to do by example, and could shout at them and motivate them. Michael Owen is probably the highest quality player we have at our club, and if anyone is fit to captain us, then he has to be in with a shout. The only other person I could possibly give it to is Shay Given. Here's some reasons why; - Given and Owen will play nearly every game - Given has been at the club a long time - Both have dozens of International caps - Shay is a bit of a shouter not much, and Owen has good reading of the game - Both have reasonable positional sense (apart from when Shay doesn't collect crosses) - Both are experienced - Both are players the fans look to. to show a bit of class That's my opinion anyways, turning on Michael Owen saying he is a shite captain sounds to me like making someone other than Ameobi a scapegoat.
  23. It's the worst lengthy period. Losing to Sunderland and Shearer missing a pen was probably the worst time. It's only the start of the season, and a slong as we get behind the team and give them that bit confidence then they should pull us out of the shit. However, if we don't help them get their confidence back now, and simply fuck off, I think it will definately be the worst time I have had being an NUFC fan. At least we get 4 extra games next season if we go down.
