Amen. You score 2, we'll score 3. Players who actually want to play for each other and for the club. Makes a world of difference!!! One thing I realised in the last few games is we have no-one who really argues and argues with the ref' anymore, and it's really good. Just seeing people get on with it. There's a great team spirit and a great thing going on here at Newcastle, I just hope it lasts and we can get one or two more lads in to bolster our squad. E-I-E-I-E-I-O..... 3 games in, I don't think a single player has been booked! Taylor for hanball is the only one I think. Smith has hardly played...we'll give it some more time eh..... Still a great record to have. If we can't get into Europe via cup glory or league finishes at least we might get in via fair play. It's based on a lot more than red and yellow cards. Ah well, at least it contributes.
  2. I have never, ever pushed anyone down the stairs :flounce: That is a load of bollocks i'm sure. No I really haven't Aye....right. Unless you meant No you really haven't any bollocks? In that case you would be right.

  6. Half the reason a singing section was created was because interest was being shown by people in Level 7. Which influenced members of other Newcastle United Supporter Groups. It was the fans who got this idea pushed through, the fan groups in particular. Like True Faith, Toon Ultras, Newcastle Online, etc. So why the fuck do you have to undermine what we do just because we go about it in a different way? Just because we don't have 30 pages for nearly every thread. Fucking hell, we played Coventry today. Lets have a thread with about 300 of the virtually the same posts. We don't think we are some form of elite group. We're simply promoting a different idea to all of the other current NUFC Supporter groups. So get off your little cyber horse, and take a step down from thinking your some sort of elite fan yourselves. The only ones doing the "frowning" on anyone are yourself. Because you don't like the fact a younger group of lads are trying to do something new and different. I totally respect this site and what it does. It's immense in size and the amount of members it has, I wish the TU site was like this one to a certain degree because then we would be a massive organisation, I just think some of you are pathetic the way you go on about us. You seem to forget that you yourselves probably did the same as us at our ages. So give owa ffs.
  7. So that's what Kane was trying to do! You're confusing up-beat fans with beat-up fans I think. Nar nah. Course he isn't.
  8. When everybody disagrees with something you're saying, generally its not everybody that's wrong. Sorry, but you're either making stupid statements or trying to make good points but saying them in a very stupid way. I'm probably making them a stupid way. I know what i'm getting at though. As i'm sure many others are....they just wont be reaidng this thread or wont say owt because they know the more regular posters will slate them. Nowt anyone off the TU site says on here is right anyways. No matter how correct it may be. But nee need for the violins eh... Editing other people's posts eh Very funny.

  10. Since when did I say the kids pay for all their tickets and travel? I clearly stated in a previous post that their PARENTS could not afford to take their kids. So you're just making the same point I made earlier. Having said that I do have my own job, and I do pay for my own season ticket, away tickets and own travel for away games. Not to mention everything that goes with it. You're all going on like I have said kick oot all the old people. When in reality all I have said is that the miserable boo boys can gladly leave if that is what they choose to do....and i'm glad some more optimistic people can have the opportunity to come in.
  11. I never said it was. Enthusiasm and how up-beat fans are was what I was measuring. Also, I know not all fans are miserable. I'm not saying kick out all the over 30's. I'm saying the fact that many of them are now giving up their season tickets isn't as bad a thing as people make out. Obviously there will be older men and women in the ground who are still very enthusiastic, to them I have no problem. But the ones who are giving up their season tickets are more than likely sick of the way the club is, and therefore have resorted to doing nowt but complain at every game they attended in the recent past. So good riddance, let the young lads and lasses in to enjoy the football. Where the fuck is your support going to be if loads of old bastards are sat in their wheelchairs with their colostomy bags, only their because they have been going for years. The middle-aged folk in the ground will have taken over from their fathers. The youth will now be taking over their fathers/mothers....or they should be! But because the seats are filled with old people our support will be extremely small in 10years time when half of them have snuffed it.
  12. When did I ever suggest that? The people giving up their season tickets are more than likely people aged over 30+ who are sick of spending all that cash on a team that's won f*** all. Therefore, when I said "Miserable old fuckers make way to the nearest exit." I wasn't suggesting they are kicked out, I was just making a suggestion that alot of the older generation need to be replaced by a younger generation, hence why I went on to say.. "Youth of today head to the turnstiles" The only reason there are so many old people in the ground is because kids can't afford it anymore. Alot of parents will struggle to afford to take their kids too. Back when it was pay on the gates, and queueing for tickets right around the ground, I'm sure there was a more youthful following inside the ground. These are the same ones who made The Leazes End so famous. The Gallowgate and corners of the ground also. Now that St James' is pretty much full of Season Ticket holders, and the prices are so high, the chance for younger fans to get to games is pretty minimal. So when more older (miserable) fans give up their season tickets, and more go on general sale, that's when the ground will return to the way it should be. Also, you're what 24? I'm 18 mate, 6 years isn't too much more so stop going on as if you've been there for decades before me.
  13. Why because you know for a fact youthful supporters are more likely to back their team? All of these fans that have been there far longer than me, I bet they used to be most passionate and most enthusiastic at a younger age too....not only that but I bet they'd agree. I think you'll find that, what is "a pile of steaming shite." is your lack of debate due to the fact you know I have a point.
  14. F*ck off. Most of those fans you're talking about were probably going to St James's through the hard times before you were even born man. There has got to be change at some stage. Now is the time. I am not criticising their levels of support in the past, I am merely suggesting that younger fans are more likely to go along and be a bit more up-beat and enthusiastic. More likely to get behind the team than sit and complain about who is playing poorly. The singing section may not have been able to have been heard from other areas of the ground, but all those in Level 7 can agree it was rather successful on Saturday. Why? Because like-minded fans have got together in a certain area of the ground. Okay, that may not mean anything. But if you ever take a wander up into that section you can tell everyone is aged around 30 and below. Sometimes blind optimism can be far more beneficial than realism.
  15. If this is a sign of lower attendendances to come....then...despite it seeming dissappointing at first...... It's fucking great! Miserable old fuckers make way to the nearest exit. Youth of today head to the turnstiles. Thank fuck for that!

    Toon Ultras

Kane, alot of the people in this thread won't ever be won over by the Toon Ultras. They are just looking for anything to use against us as a group, this being a rpime example, even though this incident was totally unrelated to the Toon Ultras. Nee point in wasting your breath/energy in typing.
  17. I cannot believe some people actually consider Shearer to have been a bad signing. I am actually rather gobsmacked. Furthermore, I would like to ask that someone looks into where we have finished when Shearer had injury/conflict free seasons with good suppliers of the ball i.e. Gillespie, Ginola, Solano. Then compare them to seasons where we didn't have anyone good to supply the ball or when Shearer was out injured. (sorry that sounds like babble but i'm sure you's get what I mean)

    Budget Caps?

I reckon it would be a good policy to have. Because top players are only likely to go to top clubs anyways. Not many players are going to be over the 50million mark either. So it would be great if they added it in.

    Squad sizes

That is a huge amount of Defenders like, and surely they can't keep them all happy. Don't think they have too much better available to them than a back four of Enrique, Faye, Taylor and Beye though. It's midfield where my main concern is. The size of a squad isn't what wins the league at the end of the day, I reckon it's maintaining a high team spirit/morale and keeping everyone happy and close-knit. We can finish above Spurs with our current squad still next season imo. Even more so if we add some real quality to it.
  20. I must admit it sounded like someone rambling on about a load of shite just for the sake of something to whinge at. All because we didn't have a good season last year. It sounded very pessimistic and unenthusiastic to me. Having said that from what Dave said I reckon that is probably a mnore accurate description of this piece.
  21. He's a mackem mate. Ah right. That explains why his name is shit team back to front.
  22. MaetihS is Shiteam back to front. Is this supposed to be the case? Because you consider Newcastle to be a Shit Team? Or is it your name? Sorry, I know it's off subject, I just thought I'd ask....
  23. Comfortable top half finish, possibly pushing the likes of Pompey, Everton and Blackburn for a European spot. It obviously depends who we sign and injuries, etc. Don't see why people are being so pessimistic though.
  24. your never going to convinve me that he can help us break into the top ten. Was OKAY at Brum last year, and couldn't break into a fairly shocking Sweden squad at the euros. We'll see though His freekicks and corners alone would get us at least another 10 goals a season as his delivery is so superb and we have some dangerous finishers who would really appreciate a quality delivery into the box every now and then. Someone might feel he was just okay at Birmingham but that was Birmingham though, a pretty ordinary team. It's hard for players who try to play quality football to really shine in such teams. Put the likes of Owen, Martins and Viduka around him and I would imagine he would look a lot better. I think this is something we ought to remember. absolutely, if Solano/Laurent taught us anything it's that a good option for deliveries is like having an extra man on the field, despite flaws in other aspects of that man's game Speaking of Laurent...I was watching a video of him on youtube. He was absolutely immense for us at times, and I just wish he was more consistant. He would be worth having back just to show the rest how to take a corner or a free-kick. Get him as coach...
