Football is so broken man
-
I am probably saying this more from the heart than the head but we are such a fickle bunch. As soon as we're playing shite everyone will leave us and we should know our level, if we win, we're the best team on the planet and nothing can stop us. Bruno is staying forever and we're taking over the world. That is the reality. My reality.
-
This is normal though, right? Because you're almost always likely to be playing better or more in-form teams as you progress through the competition?
-
I am weirdly positive too.

Someone suggested a massive game of soggy biscuit like....

I'll be honest I think it was a good session. The vast, vast majority were in agreement that light shows and choreographed pyrotechnics were all shite and too American. Instead opting for a more organic, European atmosphere. Virtually all tables opted for further safe standing and/or singing sections. Virtually all tables opted for local music tapping into heritage and up-to-date songs that hold relevance to current players to get the crowd going. Some folk suggested a silent spell 15mins before kick off to allow the crowd to have the atmosphere build and some also suggested the flag displays started and lasted for longer throughout that period as they considered Wor Flags' displays a big catalyst for the atmosphere. Of course, there were suggestions of fan cams and one or two other ridiculous items but on the whole it was positive I'd say. The proof is in the pudding though with whatever actions are taken. There were several other good suggestions aiding the overall atmosphere or "entertainment" however you want to dress it up I guess but generally it was stuff we've seen before or that has previously worked better than the current set up, I'd say.

Aye, we look like we're between different plans at the moment and have done for some while now. Love Eddie Howe, but there should have been a slightly different tact taken I think in recent weeks and months.

I go back to what I said in the pre match build up - the performance was probably more important than the result. I could have accepted a draw or 3-2 defeat tonight if I felt we'd given it everything, battled for everything, not given up. It didn't feel like that. Chelsea have some decent players but are suffering from the same mental fragility/fatigue as we are it seems. Only we have fair reason to be doing so after our season. Chelsea were utter shite, and I cannot even say we were worse. We weren't. Only they had players taking pop shots from 20 yards whilst we tried to walk it in most the night. It was a shockingly bad game of football in large parts. Like and end of season game. We look like we want the season to end. I sincerely hope we're well drilled and in shithouse mode next Saturday because we need a catalyst to revive the end of our season. It's fizzling out as it stands and that's no slight against any of them, it's just been that sort of season. Some really high, highs and then some really demoralising lows, which aren't always when we've been tanked. Liverpool and Milan at home, losing the way we did. Not taking more points against lesser sides. Just so crushing going out the cups the way we did so far too. We just need to realise we're fucking good. We're outstanding on our day. At present we look a shell of ourselves. I do wonder if we actually have any real horrible fuckers too, we seem like we desperately need it. Too many niceties, too much space and no belief at present, we desperately need to recapture that. As it stands, after a decent 3 -0 win at home that sprung a new lease of life into us, the performance tonight put us back to square one.

Seriously lads and lasses, just tag me in your post in here with any suggestions or thoughts you have up until this time tomorrow and I'll do my best to raise or represent it if possible. I'll also be giving my own thoughts too obviously.
-
Gonna tell them to remove safe standing and have a no shouting policy.
-
For the atmosphere event? Aye.

The performance is equally as important as the result this time out, we need confidence ahead of next week and for me, if we're to draw, I'd like to see a clean sheet ahead of scoring at all. Ideally, a win to nil with a solid performance will be the outcome, 1 or 2 nil. My prediction though is 1-1.

The whole respect campaign and VAR is an absolute joke. We continue to undermine referees, change rules every year for the sake of the TV and TV Fan and allow spoilt little bastards demonstrate to kids that if you hoy your toys out the pram enough you'll get what you want eventually.

WTF is it with folk calling a Hamstring Injury/tear/pull/strain simply a hamstring too? "Looks like he has a hamstring" well...aye...unless his leg has fallen off.

It's getting increasingly hard to enjoy football the same way I used to. I don't know if that's an age thing or the actual sport. That first pen for Man United today, the Havertz dive going unpunished, the way the likes of Arteta and Klopp go on in such a detestable, ungentlemanly way. Just vile man, and yet nice guys seem to finish last. Where's the concern for role models? Just like all 'business' so many buzz words and trendy moral panics being apparently addressed but not because of genuine concern, because it makes the brand look strong. Respect for referees, sustainability, yada yada yada. Piss off. #RantOver

Mind Trippier is arguably one of the best RBs around like to be fair.
-
Thing is this has also been at the behest of their fans. They've put themselves in a chicken and egg scenario by allowing such delusions of grandeur.
-
Shocking that from what I'm hearing. Perfect chance to nail diving by sending a title chasing player off for a second Yellow and it's been bottled / overturned.
-
Couldn't be a better second goal. A geordie with a double penalty kick.
