  1. This is where I'm at too. I feel folk rewrite the game as well based on the result. Everton did fuck all by and large, one chance where they hit the post and that was it. We hit the bar, had the ball in the net twice, one off the line and generally had them on the back foot most the game. They created virtually nowt. Dummett massively cost us with his stupidity. Just a personal gripe but I feel expectations have risen too quickly and feel folk are desperate to find scapegoats at present. Effort is no longer enough. People turn up to be entertained and are fans not supporters. Supporters support when the going gets tough. We fold like a pack of cards on 60mins every game and it reflects on the pitch, or vice versa. I'll put my tin hat on as everyone will no doubt say "we need quality to go to the next level", yada yada yada. We fucking cannot because of FFP. You get more flies with sugar than shit so we should be backing every one of these boys to the hilt. They've given us all these moments, from cup finals to derby wins to possibly one of the biggest victories in our entire history, but groan at Burn for not clearing the ball on the first bounce when he was nigh on immaculate, sigh every time Longstaff misplaced a difficult pass. Wey give owa man. What was that phrase "we don't demand a team that wins..."

    Match Atmosphere

Atmosphere always changes at 60mins and nerves set in. Have to use the Corner etc to push through the negativity, if that doesn't happen we're on the back foot.

    Paul Dummett

For 5th choice LB it'd be wise to allow that to be a kid imo. So in short, yes.

I'm not even disputing that. What I am saying is folk shouldn't equate his career to the equivalent of that one performance tonight.

    Sean Longstaff

This is a fair assessment, but I feel we aren't at a level where we can simply replace willy-nilly at present so it's kind of taking a big chance on offloading these kind of players and whether you can find a real hidden gem. This is where Ashworth probably came in. Not sure on the background of all that stuff but we need a real intelligent scouting system and transfer strategy now FFP is dicking us.

That might be the case but aside from Ritchie I'm not sure what the other viable options were tonight. Burn, Trippier, Tino, Hall all unavailable to play there for various reasons. At which point you can only put kids in. Kids are also likely to do what Dummett did. Only difference is it'd have been more forgivable. Howe isn't to know that ahead of the decision though. We rely upon people with the right application and attitude and will for 2/3more years and possibly beyond with FFP. So we have to choose whether we back folk who deserve backing or chance it on potential mercenaries like we did when we got relegated. I'd have a Dummett, Longstaff or Burn every day of the week over a Sissoko for example who didn't give a fuck.

    Dan Burn

Arguably MotM tonight after Bruno who was next level.

Confidence is absolutely shot. Find the groaning at the stadium fucking boring and stupid.

-Demonstrating the right attitude in training -Wanting to be at his home town club -Multiple managers seeing enough quality in him to at least offer something to the squad -FFP -Other clubs not being interested that would make it worth our while All of the above. Reality is, attitude is the most important thing.

Would you have brought Ritchie or one of the bairns on then?

    I'm not disputing that.

    Paul Dummett

Dummett was great for us under Benitez despite being limited. Benitez often had him as one of his first people on the team sheet. Defenders who defend. There's nowt wrong with that it's just a somewhat seemingly old fashioned view now. Now we have full backs who make up an additional CM. I just don't think it's fair to equate his whole career to being shite based on his fuck up tonight which seemingly some are doing.
  13. Was head, shoulders, hips and knees above the rest today, was immense, world class even.

    Paul Dummett

Some over reactions on here like. He was absolutely idiotic and shite when he came on and cost us the win, but please don't equate his career to tonight's performance.
  15. Could do with a comfortable win here to really set us on the right track for our remaining games. #StatingTheObvious
  16. Aye, in recent times I remember Dan Burns goal against Leicester. He made a decent tackle and the crowd started his song off, it got louder and louder then he went that radge run and scored. Could tell it really picked him up like and he was ready to run through walls all of a sudden. When he scored it was absolutely lush.
  17. Sometimes the simplicity of the right message at the right time is most important: ?️ Eddie Howe on Wor Flags display. “When I saw that, trust me, that makes a difference. I saw that and I had a really warm feeling and real positive outlook after that show of appreciation. "It means a lot to me and to Jason (Tindall) and to the whole coaching team to retain the support of the supporters who are the most important people at any football club, and we will endeavour to work as hard as we can to bring long-term success here." Makes me well pleased reading quotes such as this. Of course he's always gonna be pleased and say positive things so I'm under no illusions, but I think it absolutely has the effect we wanted when social media and mainstream media perhaps suggests otherwise.

    Harvey Barnes

I absolutely love seeing someone particularly from a seated position but also from a standing position just leaping miles into the air when a goal goes in. It's like a one off situation in life where it happens. When that goal goes in it's proper celebrations. Crowd seems to go wild.

    Sean Longstaff

Sean Longstaff has had an undercurrent of shit for years. Not sure about this whole "easy ride" perception tbh. Doesn't wash with me. Dan Burn being tactically exposed to being left for dead this season too hasn't helped him. They don't get easy rides. They get an undercurrent of shit that flies under the radar for many but absolutely won't for them and me being me, I know how much that would hurt me. The protesting vs Ashley taught me that. The feeling of being alienated by people who you think are just like you, are with you, but aren't.

    Sean Longstaff

I think that's fairly evident for most folk. Sadly a percentage of most folk think being a daft cunt towards him will somehow help that
  21. Ironically, as much as I love Howe I'd absolutely welcome a return to not conceding for game after game after game and winning -nil each week like we did last season for a long spell. Fortiter defendit triumphans and all that. Howe-ever not sure that's something that will return under Wor Eddie. Will settle for 4-3s and winning the European Conference next year though. Won't you all?

    Sean Longstaff

What an absolutely wonderful video. Absolutely love him and Burn, they're very much at the heart of the squad I feel, irrespective of how talented people feel they are(n't). That PSG game man. Gives me goosebumps.
  23. Didn't see the game but I thought we were outstanding last half hour. Howe didn't get it right at first but got it right in the end. Cannot wait to see it on MotD for the first time.
