My thoughts exactly.

I'm not surprised mate. It's a team called Hashtag United. I shit you not.
-
#UTD Yes. That is an actual team. Kill me now.

I do hope folk aren't blaming Karius for today like. Lunacy if so.

As good as he is and has been I feel this lad needs a rest, bless him.

Clean sheet. One off the line. An assist. Burn 1 - 0 Arsenal. Fuck the haters.

I feel We've been hamstrung by injuries and a lack of confidence since probably around early December but we cannot keep using that as an excuse. Arsenal have played at their absolute best tonight (so far) as did Man City the other week at SJP. However. We aren't helping ourselves. That picket between defence and midfield has been exploited for weeks and weeks and we always take until half time to address it. We don't play with enough intensity to create issues and when we do it's not the whole team it's just the attack, then the midfield and that disjointed nature means there's even bigger pockets and gaps. We've been a little naive and stumbling through, it feels since the earlier stages of the season. I'm sure with players coming back it will be addressed but we really need some of our leaders around the club to tell the collective to give their heads a wobble. I think we need to be as fans too. All this talk of a disappointing season man, what a load of shite.

If this is true it's obscene.

We have a 2 goal lead...are we going higher or lower than a 2?....

A discussion we've probably all had with friends or family or even just online on forums, etc. Who makes it into your Premier League? And Why? Feel free to go down the avenues of superfandom, the cringey 'big' club debates and who you just simply like. Who makes up your top 20 clubs, would they all be English? Discuss.

What a good fella that Liam Rosenior seems at Hull. Just gave an excellent interview after their game vs WBA.

I was looking forward to getting "mauled by the tigers"

You'd never think it like. I was probably the least likely lad to end up with an Italian lass oot of my mates at school

Me and wor lass were having a beer last Sunday doon at the Old George and seen the Tonali Moretti logo painted on the wall and noticed similar Tonali logos painted elsewhere too or just merchandise and she was saying that Sandro must find it absolutely like, weird, but in a good way, that he's receiving so much affection without having really played. I played it down saying it's largely cause it's trendy - new expensive player, from AC Milan, Italian, has a good song etc. And she was saying like players don't get that in Italy, they only have a song when they do well or when they're good, not just as a kind of, prerequisite. Her Dad was saying the same when he was over, when we went to 1-1 with Milan, and then 2-1 he was totally shocked to see the crowd really like try and rally behind them instead of kicking off. He said "In Italy, no" basically . I really hope that as hard as this debacle has probably been for him, he comes back knowing what a good chance he's been given here. To some degree, he has fucked our season by this betting malarkey, not just him, obviously, but it hasn't helped. So here's to hoping his English is coming along and he's destroying those training sessions. If him and Bruno click with Joelinton, Willock, Longstaff or any really energetic other then we could have a midfield to be reckoned with.

If I had 12 fingers and toes and supported S*nderland like them, I don't think I'd want these series about us all the time tbh. Would make me feel like a laughing stock. I wasn't all that much a fan of the idea of them being around Newcastle tbh, despite enjoying the series.

Yes, I am watching the games and the fact that as a team we are leaving our left winger pushed right up and our LB entirely exposed, we have a fairly immobile midfield when it comes to pace and acceleration, a much slower and less intense press than last season and a lack of pace at the back all contribute to the space teams are finding, not just Dubravka being shite. He is deeper and that is probably contributing and there is possibly a lack of confidence compared to that with Pope but for me, we are conceding more because of our inability to maintain intensity through injuries and our "shit or bust" strategy. I also feel that our fans are always desperate for a scapegoat. Presently it seems to be Dubravka and Burn, last season it was Longstaff at times. Just don't get it. If these people aren't good enough then that lies at the managers and clubs door, those lads are giving it their absolute all.

Like I say, I'd like to see the second again but for me, from the Strawberry Corner it seemed very well hit and from close range.
