  1. One of the few things the makems do better than us - they have a minutes applause / silence, (can't remember which) once a year on the nearest home fixture to Christmas, for all of their past fans / players who have passed away.
  2. Game is on Talksport 2 DAB for anyone sick of Ando's moaning
  3. Certainly is. Ridiculous price that! It's football and anything happen. He could hit a trickler from 25 yards and it could ricochet off an errant beach ball, completely wrong footing the Keeper and it could finish 1-0. Stranger things have happened. Indeed. I'm on it at 110 /1 on betfair. Got odds of 10/1 just for a home win the other day. Ridiculous. As you say it's football and anything can happen, this sort of result is exactly what has kept the Mackems up for the last few year.
  4. Exactly how I saw it. Any contact in the box was minimal at worst, not enough to give a penalty.
  5. If there was a foul, it was outside the box as the players came together, so no pen. Carried on into the box. Pen. No it didn't. No pen.
  6. If there was a foul, it was outside the box as the players came together, so no pen.
  7. Wtf was that gargoyle in the crowd?
  8. So after all the talk of a full house, there's only 36000 there By that reckoning, every one of our home games is a full house
  9. Fuck me, I do believe Colback was trying to score a forty yarder there :-) Credit to Gayle for his poachers instinct.
  10. Don't forget the most blatantly offside goal you'll ever see in the Man City game..another two points denied.
  11. couldnt really see though them, they had to come down. should be hung up somewhere permanently now. The obvious solution would be to take these flags and make them a permanent fixture on the outside walls of the stadium a la Arsenal's display at The Emirates.
  12. And how the fuck Sissoko stayed on the field after that....
  13. Hows that? The West Ham player who was offside was at the other side of the box and not in front of the keeper. The West Ham player blocking the keepers view was in line with the Sunderland defence. Well as I've already said, I've had a few, but on the sideways on view looked to me that the player who let the ball through his legs to deceive the keeper had at least a foot the wrong side of the six yard line.
  14. Now I've had a few, and wouldn't normally stick up for the makems, but that's offside. Much more clear cut interfering with play than Tiote's effort against Man City.
  15. Too right. Clear elbow, missed by the officials.
  16. Watching the periscope feed of the Barnsley game, it sounded to me like "whey ye knaa" has been changed to "we knaa".
  17. You wouldn't have Defoe? I mentioned this to the reasonable makems at work last week- Pickford looks like a real prospect, not his fault he's currently trying to keep the score under double figures and Defoe is still the man who could singlehandedly keep their heads above water. They don't rate Pickford.

    England

Is this the worst England kit ever? I think so. Red socks :anguish:
  19. Sure that was 74 mate, i think I've got a magazine (or whatever) somewhere with a photo from the directors box with the caption, "We lost, but what if had won?" Sounds like the cup final return of 1974, I was there too, also in the West Stand.. Think they started the metro tunneling around about then, so that would explain the wooden fences round the monument.
