  1. I don't think that's true, people cycle to try lessen the health and other impacts of long term continuous use, particularly of the more toxic steroids. But there's unlikely to be a big advantage from anabolic steroids in football, the advantage would come from stuff like EPO or an undetectable equivalent, of which there are allegedly many.
  2. Aye, athletic world records that we now know were set juiced to the gills are still being broken because of 'improvements in sports science'.
  3. Goalkeeper has single handedly thrown this away.
  4. Yeah, I always particularly disliked it after Bilbao.
  5. Obviously, if they didn't give it, but still think that's a foul. And sorry for discussing stuff on a discussion forum, my bad.
  6. He just threw himself at the man, the fact that the ball hit the GK (after the player had got a touch on it) as the GK flattened him doesn't make it not a foul.
  7. He rugby tackled him to 'get the ball'.
  8. Would laugh my cock off if the 'quadruple chasing greatest team in the world ever' got knocked out tonight.
  9. Thank fuck for our run of four wins in a row, we were far more at risk of relegation than people realised going into that and I think we'll need every one of those wins to be safe on the final day.
  10. They have the money, they're just not allowed to spend it due to FFP.
  11. Leeds are the team to do that, one loss and they can't realistically pass us with their goal difference deficit. They've got to be favourites to go down now.
  12. But he touched the ball first, Schar was actually lucky not to get booked for kicking Milner as he scythed through him with studs up.
  13. Shak's post nails the moment.
  14. I was thinking something along those lines could be a potential justification for very special circumstances. Seems like it’s potentially a goer then, if the club are actually looking to buy it.
  15. I didn't know about that, so he did: https://portal.newcastle.gov.uk/planning/index.html?fa=getApplication&id=83560 And more recently to convert it to a hotel, build a spa, golf course and 72 houses: https://portal.newcastle.gov.uk/planning/index.html?fa=getApplication&id=110220
  16. It was in a field next to their existing training ground, it was approved as a very special circumstance. Here's the application if you're interested https://publicaccess.burnley.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=ZZZZY3DTMS564
  17. Burnley's training facility was built on Green Belt land (and not PDL) and wasn't called in by the Secretary of State. It'll all be down to whether there is support from Newcastle City Council, who I'm sure will have been sounded out if the club are looking to buy that land.
  18. Aye, they haven't won away from home in the league since August, they haven't picked up a point away since December
  19. Burnley have at least as many games that I'd expect them to be able to get a result from, all but Spurs and maybe Villa Away. Everton have Liverpool A, Chelsea H, Leicester A, and Arsenal A which they're unlikely to get anything from. They're so poor away I think they'll even struggle to get anything at Watford, that Brentford H and Palace H look their only 'winnable' fixtures and those two are not going to be easily beaten.
  20. I don't think it's stupid to expect a top six push, we've been in top four form since January without Trippier and Wilson, add some more quality to the squad in the summer and there's no reason why we shouldn't expect to be pushing for top 6 next season.
  21. Still, we would have been a far better advertisement vehicle for his tat.
  22. What a club Ashley could've had with just a bit of effort and investment, what a fucking mug.
