  1. And their training ground is actually 20 miles outside of the city, near to Lake Maggiore.
  2. not yet, we should see the bat survey posted on their website when the Council receive it but nothing yet.
  3. Latest update: seems that they fucked up the ownership certificate in the application form, completing certificate A which is for when the applicant is the sole owner of all of the application site, that must not have been correct because they’ve now submitted a revised application form with ownership certificate B completed. Certificate B is for when all or part of the application site is owned by other people. I suspected that was the case when I first looked at the application because it seems likely that the access is in shared ownership. What this means is that the application timescale restarts from day 0 and the Council will need to allow 21 days from the day they were served notice for the other landowner/s to comment. Again, this is a frustratingly common mistake by agents who never seem to grasp the importance of ensuring the land ownership declaration is correct and that the onus is entirely on them for that.
  4. I think there will be plenty of interest for the players we're looking to shift. We don't really have any Rodwells, our unwanted players pretty much all will be seen by other clubs as being good solid pros who aren't quite up to the level we're aiming for. We might have to subsidise some wages a bit but I think there'll be plenty of takers for all of the players we want rid of.
  5. Or the Europa League or the Opel Conference. There is a precedent where UEFA have accepted that the two Red Bull teams can compete in the same European competition if sufficient separation between them is demonstrated. Otherwise, if UEFA don't accept that, the team with the lower UEFA coefficient ranking would not be allowed to play in the competition, which would be us at the moment.
  6. It wasn't, it was a fake account unfortunately.
  7. Which is likely to be the only time he's been asked. He might've just been letting us down gently.
  8. Although, there's definitely some Shola in the mix too.
  9. I'm talking in comparison to captain calamity. I think his form has been up and down this season but Burnley fans still seem to rate him and there's no question that he's more comfortable on the ball than Lascelles.
  10. Tarkowski is a far better player than Lascelles, particularly in relation to what Howe wants from his central defenders in terms of being comfortable on the ball.
  11. That's due to the fact that the club holds the player's registration, it's actually the player's registration that is being bought and sold.
  12. There doesn't need to be contact for it to be a foul.
  13. He made the most of it but I don't think he could've stayed on his feet, contact or not.
  14. The only person listed as being in significant control of RB Sports and Media Ltd, owning 75% or more of the shares, is Jamie Reuben. Obviously his wealth comes from his involvement in the family business but he is clearly very wealthy in his own right. He, individually, has donated about £800,000 to the tory party.
  15. If we're humouring it... It would be a massive statement of intent, and boost to commercial income. Having Bruno and Paqueta here might help with him settling and buying in.
  16. That's not the case at all. Just about every ecology report I've read, and that's hundreds, includes a summary of reccomendatiins that is clear and easy for people who, like myself, are not ecology specialists to understand. The report very clearly says that further bat surveys are needed. The impression I get is that many developers/architects/agents, just pay for ecology reports etc. think they've ticked that box and either don't even bother to read them or do and submit them hoping the planners won't read them. Any pre-commencement conditions are almost certain to delay the start of works because they require another application for discharge of conditions to be made, which often can take longer than a planning application.
  17. Along with Dummett he's the only first team player we currently have that would count towards the European home grown rule. So he's going to be an important part of our squad if/when we get into Europe.
  18. Yes there are normally a couple of clubs that upset the applecart each season and a couple of the big 6 that underperform, but it's different clubs each season. There are no other clubs that have been able to consistently do that and so get access to the stratospheric sponsorship income that the big six get.
  19. Spurs bridged the gap when it was still bridgeable, but it isn't any more... for anyone but a state like Saudi Arabia.
  20. 80% of sponsorship income for the entire PL is with the big 6. There's an absolutely massive drop-off in revenue between the big 6 and everyone else. For FFP revenue is everything, a club like Everton might have an owner who wants to throw money at them but without the revenue he can't and without the consistent success they can't make that step up in revenue, catch 22.
  21. Update on the application: It all seemed to be going swimmingly, until yesterday when comments came in from the Council’s ecology and landscape officers. There is the potential for a bat roost within the buildings and surveys will need to be carried out to check for bats. The ecological impact assessment submitted by the architect actually recommends that the surveys are needed, but it seems that they haven’t been carried out and submitted with the application. That’s a frustratingly common oversight, I suspect most architects/agents don't actually read those reports before submitting them. There are also a couple of trees that will need to be removed to make way for the extensions but the architect has not submitted a tree survey, that will need to be done, submitted and assessed. Another frustratingly common oversight. There has also been Japanese Knotweed identified in the area of the extensions and further survey work and a remediation scheme will be needed for that, which will probably be conditioned but with a pre-commencement condition. Which will result in needing to make a discharge of conditions application before starting. Very unlikely they’re going to be able to start this summer now. If a bat roost is identified it isn't necessarily terminal to the application, but would at least delay things further if it would be disturbed, which would require a licence from Natural England.
  22. They're paying for membership of the big 6 cartel. FFP is set up to prevent other clubs from catching up with the big 6 which inflates the value of those clubs and depresses the value of the others.
  23. He's under 21 so he doesn't need to be registered in the squad to play.
  24. I don't think he's in the first team squad, not on the club website anyway. If/when we get into Europe we could just stick u21 players in the 25 man squad to meet the quota, but that would be wasting squad places if they're not up to actually playing.
