I would love it if we were to then beat them with a dramatic late 4-3 winner to fuck up their title hopes.

His being on the pitch as an option to bypass midfield and allow others to play off him has clearly been a fundamental part of our run of form since he signed. I think that Andy Carroll could probably have done that just as well, if not better, if he could stay fit, so for the money he has been a terrible signing but what he has contributed to is worth every penny even if he never plays again after this season.

I was seeing my parents for the first time since Christmas 2019, staying in a cottage in Cumbria, we had been out for a walk and then checked my phone and saw the gutting news. Ended up having a row with my Mum in the evening and then coming down with a stomach bug and throwing up all night. What a shit day all round.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Postecoglu told to rack off by Spurs

Odd timing to sack him, they've got three matches coming up in the next 9 days which could seal their fate, how does that give any manager time to change anything? -
A sensor in the ball that can tell when it is kicked? The problem is that officials have shown themselves totally incapable of making those judgements in a consistent and unbiased way.
-
We look far more solid with him at RB than Manquillo. Correlation doesn't equal causation and all that but in the roughly 10 hours he has played since Trippier was injured we have conceded only 3 goals, compared to 7 in the 3 hours of football with Manquillo or Murphy there.

Yes, because at the bottom of the table things can change so quickly, one win can make a huge difference. Had Everton held on to the win or draw last night I would be very confident of us surviving. Last week has gone, it's the current circumstance that matters. If we win tomorrow I'll be back to being very confident of us staying up. Btw, I am still confident of staying up, I'm just shit scared of it potentially going down to that last match against Burnley.
-
Those home games are all against top half teams. We haven't beaten a top half team all season.
-
No nominative determinism in your username. Everton got 13 points from their first 6 games and were top of the league. Burnley picked up 9 points in 6 games between December and February.
-
Which, as I said, I could equally see us winning or losing. They're appalling away from home and complacent. They were massively up for the match against us and pulled off a result, it will be a similar atmosphere against Man U. The chances are we'll be safe but tonight's result does put us back in the relegation picture, if we beat Wolves we can pull ourselves back out of it.
-
Burnley need just four more points than us between now and when we play them to pass us on the last day. We'll find out in the next four because we're unlikely to pick up another point after Norwich.
-
Man U are not a great side, they are capable of losing to anyone, Everton will be massively up for it and could definitely see them easily beating Man U at home, the same goes for Leicester at home.
-
I think the chances of both results are similar. I think either of us could go either way, that's what worries me, we're back in the relegation picture after this result. We're much less likely than Everton to go down, but we have been dragged back into it.
-
Have you not seen our run-in and how poor we were against Everton and Spurs? We are far from safe.
-
I can see them beating Man U at home, Leicester at home too and by the time they play them away they'll possibly be on the beach. Tonight's result is terrible for us. Friday is a must win now.

Weighorst has been doing a cracking Chris Wood impression.
-
It'll be very different in the summer if we stay up, the January window was obviously made very difficult by our predicament at the time which made players unsure about joining and clubs wanting ridiculous money, or simply being unwilling to sell mid season. Other than Wood, the business we did was very good in incredibly difficult circumstances. But I think the whole "we're happy for Eddie to take charge of our summer business" is probably in part just a bluff in our negotiations to get Ashworth out of his contract early.
-
This is their 6th consecutive season in the PL and they've survived before when they've looked doomed, they're no Fulham.
-
They should do, but better for us to have Burnley gone as soon as possible and our last match be meaningless.
-
As much as I'd love to see Everton drop it is much better for us to have three clubs cut adrift.
-
My initial post was in reply to a couple of posts writing off Everton if they lose on Wednesday.
-
Everton's biggest issues has been their away form, they've very capable of winning those home games. Obviously the same goes for us and we're obviously in a better position, I'm just urging caution at those hoping Everton lose on Wednesday.
-
Everton's fixtures are no more shocking than ours. I'd expect them to get something from Palace at home. a probably safe by then Brentford at home and two matches against a potentially on the beach Leicester.
