  1. You're not going to get much sympathy from supporters who had to put up with Mike Ashley for 14 years. I wouldn't call him corrupt, just a terrible owner.
  2. Mike Ashley levels of cuntary and contempt for the supporters from their owners. Glorious
  3. I'm not for wishing injury on players but I'll made an exception for Rohypnaldo, I hope he snaps a leg in three and misses out on his last big payday, the odious cunt.
  4. I'm more excited about seeing a brief cameo from this lad than I was about the England match yesterday.
  5. Actually, whether a footballer is eligible for a work permit is determined by criteria set by the football governing body. So it is actually a devolved policy.
  6. This tournament is a fucking farce, if a player is being given smelling salts they're clearly in no condition to be on the pitch.
  7. Can't be offside from that, even if there were no Qatari players in the picture, Valencia is clearly behind the player winning the ball.
  8. None and none, but I imagine it would be taken into account if we apply for an exception.
  9. Not saying he wouldn't, we could apply for an exception for a talented youth player, he just isn't likely to qualify by international appearances by January.
  10. The rules do actually take into account the ranking of the national team, a player playing 30% of Brazil's matches in the past year would automatically qualify, a Cook Islands international playing 100% of their matches would only get 2 points towards the 15 needed to qualify. To qualify by national appearances Kuol will need to have played in at least 40% of Australia's matches where he was available for selection in the previous 12 months before the application. I think they'll need to get to the quarter final with him appearing in every match for him to be over 40% in January.
  11. It does and and it would, I do have a BRE assessment pack at work, but they're a ballache to do.
  12. Right to light is a separate civil law issue, I'm taking about planning impacts. That would typically be determined by a BRE daylight and sunlight assessment.
  13. The East Stand is actually very optimised in terms of its use of space, the back rows of seating are cantilevered over the back of the stand. To build a tier above would almost certainly require a supporting structure and facilities behind the existing stand. I have doubts whether there is much or any scope to build a taller stand without likely unacceptable residential amenity / hetitage impacts anyway.
  14. It doesn't, excuse the shit drawing but this illustrates why it doesn't make a difference. Capacity is determined by a stand's depth, not its angle.
  15. Yes it is, and how steep a stand is makes absolutely no difference to its capacity.
  16. Same, I can't remember when I last continously watched MOTD. Can't wait to watch it tonight, and the club highlights, then the extended highlights, then the match cam
  17. I'm not disputing what you're saying and happy to be proven wrong but I just can't see any potential to expand the East Stand. There's only about 17m between the current East Stand and Leazes Terrace, 7m between it 1-4 St James' Terrace, which is also listed (albeit Grade 2) and it is 10m from 7-11 St James Street, also Grade 2 listed. The stand is already cantilevered and probably takes up the smallest footprint it possibly could. I just don't see how any expansion of it is going to be feasible without unacceptable impacts on those listed buildings (including demolition of 4 St James' Terrace at very least). There would be more complex assessment of impacts on light but as a rule of thumb 15m would typically be the minimum distance allowed between a three storey building and a ground floor window. A glazed roof wouldn't make much/any difference because it would be the back of the stand that would probably have the impact, not the roof. So 17m is not a lot to play with, it might already be at or over the limit of what is acceptable in terms of height and proximity.
  18. Only once they are registered, pre-applcation advice is generally dealt with confidentially. Also, there may be elements of planning applications that are not public, like financial information. It's rare for planning officers to be asked to sign NDAs, butI know someone who was the case officer for a PL stadium application and had to sign an NDA for stuff related to that that.
  19. Thanks for the like to remind me what a fucking idiot I was @Optimistic Nut
  20. No one, apart from Pope and Trippier, came out of yesterday looking good. He'll always have both matches when he's unplayable and matches where he's frustrating, but we've now got other creative outlets and we're both not reliant on him any more and he's less likely to be man-marked out of games. He's worth the frustration for those times when he's unplayable, which I think will probably increase now he's not the focal point of our creativity.
  21. Yeah, I saw somewhere that Staveley's share had reduced with the previous injections of cash.
