Sounds like its been a good match.
-
Come on Newcastle, let's take it to them this half.
-
Any optimism I had before is seriously waning now
-
Duff ahead of Jonas. Jesus fucking wept.
-
Celtic don't really need to spend £8m+ on a new keeper when they have Boruc though
-
Considering how good a servant Shay's been to this club he should be allowed to leave if he wants to imo. But not to Man City or Spurs
-
Can't say I blame him. Still a legend in my eyes if he leaves or stays.

The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]

He's 26. How much better can he get exactly? As a centre half. A lot I would say. I thought he was 24 tbh, but Rio is 30. Has he not improved in the last 4 years? He was good enough for Man Utd and Leeds to pay £18m+ each before he was 26, so there's your answer. What's that got to do with how much he's improved over the last 4 years though? I got the impression the Captain was implying that he felt Ferdinand has massively improved in the last 4 years. I disagree, he was quality before then and the transfer fees reflect that. Just because he was class before 4 years back doesn't mean to say he hasn't improved since then though. I'd say playing alongside Vidic these past couple of seasons has done Rio a fair few favours as a player. No reason why Coloccini or Bassong, maybe even Taylor can't have a similar effect on this Bougherra bloke if he signs. -

Stelios Giannakopoulos? -
I have a very worrying feeling they'll stay up
-
He was our most positive player by a long shot, actually looking to run with the ball and pass it forward. Wasn't his best game but he assisted Duff in the build up to our disallowed goal with a class ball and linked dangerously with Shola down the right in the second half. Easily our best midfielder even if he's been a bit off colour these last couple of games.
-
Bit of a risk bringing in all this young, foreign talent into a bit of a relegation scrap though. Would be better to go for experienced players tried and tested at Premiership level surely?
-
Good post, couldn't agree more.
-
Did you think Keegan should have been sacked for the 5-1 against Man Utd last season? What about Sir Bobby for the 6-2 humping we took? No because they were good managers where such results were freak events, managers that could come back from such defeats. I know what a hypocrite you'll say, I don't give a f*** though. He wants sacked for this defeat. Should Phil Brown be sacked for the two bollockings Hull have been dealt by the Mackems and City?
-
They were saying it was Abdoulaye Faye on Soccer Saturday.
-
Liverpool had one disallowed as well tbf.
-
And this is based on that one effort on goal? What about that great ball he played in for Taylor with his weaker foot?
-
The transfers and money he spent over the last year or so never happened then? We've made no big, extravagant purchases under him, granted. Coloccini was a big, and by no means cheap, signing iyam.
-
Fucking hell. Absolutely awful defefending.
-
Good start, great ball from Jonas and run by Ameobi. Come on lads!
-
Send a rocket up their arses Joe and we can get something from this.
