Wonder if we'd be in this situation had Mort not left?
-
Would love to bring in Lewis McGugan from Forest.
-
He won't play for us again I wouldn't worry about that. Some Spanish mid table cloggers will take him.

Bummer. Happy, er, Birthday mate. Thanks mate. Still celebrated it, but the day was kind of riding on us at least drawing.
-
I've had better birthdays I'm not gonna lie.
-
Gonna be optimistic and go for the win to see us safe.
-
Not nervous right now, quite calm. Probably will be all over the place before kick off though.
-
Took me an age to get the reference in the title
-
That's a good omen every time he predicts us to win we lose and vis versa.

If we stay up: Coloccini Nolan Cacapa Barton Guthrie Gonzalez R.Taylor A.Smith Xisco Butt Ameobi If we go down: Coloccini Cacapa Barton Martins Duff Gonzalez Smith Jonas Xisco Geremi Viduka

Two dreams about it last night, we won both times. First time Hull and Sunderland both won as well so I took Man U to court. Second time we won 5-2 and Man U beat Hull 6-3 or something daft like that.
-
Depends what Hull & Boro do, if Hull lose and Boro don't win, we're there. I just can't wait for Saturday to get it over with. Agreed, WBA are all but down they have Liverpool on Sunday, who should batter them regardless of the title situation they will still want to prove a point. Boro at home against Villa is an ok one for Boro but you can see that being a draw. Hull is the tough one to call you'd expect Bolton to win at home, but I'm not sure.
-
Beat Fulham and its virtually over, there really is no point having a number any more. The finishing line is in sight, the players no what they have to do, they just have to do the business.

Up in Level 7 for this one. Fatha and two younger brothers coming along. Leaving Liverpool first thing Saturday morning arriving back home in Halifax then driving straight up to Newcastle driving back after the game train over to Liverpool as soon as I get back then off to Magnet where my mate is having a launch night for his events company which finishes at 6 in the morning. What a day it will be, I don't expect to see any of Sunday. A draw wouldn't be the end of the world, but I'll be optimistic and say we'll win 2-1.

A man who as tactically inept as he is, gains the respect of the players, and had the balls to say to the media what every Newcastle fan has always wanted to say to them. A genuine, very likeable bloke.
-
Wouldn't expect Bassong to be on there playing in our defence. They're bang on with Beattie at no1 though.
-
Lawrenson is right about the lack of pace like. Yes Oba and Lovenkrands are fast, Jonas no he's quick but he doesn't have that extra gear of acceleratio. The lack of pace in our midfield is startling, if we were in mid-table now I'd be giving Lua Lua a go on the right with Duff on the left and giving Ranger a go up front because Owen has no legs now either.
-
I think we'll win, but I'm still dreading it mind.
-
If we somehow get anything from this game, I'll be ecstatic.

Going by Guthrie's performances this season he was especially poor. Owen and Martins have been average all season. So you based their scores on how good they can be? Bloody hell. You can base anything on form, thats not what I've done for everyone on that list. By Butt's form this season that was an improvement, by Guthrie's that was shocking and by Owen and Martins that was the same old average shite we've seen all season.

Our goal difference helps us. The Boro game is the one I think we'll definitely win, they unlike Pompey will need all 3 points, so will come out and give it a go. Which with their midfield will leave space all over the place. I reckon it'll go to the last day against Villa, who have nowt to play for. We'll beat Boro and draw with Fulham. I think we'll stay up, only losing by 1 or 2 at Anfield can be seen as ok, anything more is a bonus.

I'd agree with you that Viduka was our biggest threat going forward. Martins had a few chances, Owen should have buried his. I think Owen did ok putting pressure on the ball when they had it. He wasn't terrible, he just isn't the same player he once was, we all know that. Viduka has that extra bit of quality that niether Oba nor Owen have.

Harps Beye Bassong Enrique Oba Smith Jonas Are the players I have a liking for.
-
Well....that's certainly different, I'll give you that. Guthrie was our worst player, closely followed by Jonas. No one apart from them was especially bad. 6 is the number for an average ok game. We just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net our problem all season long.
