    RIP sale thread.

We're in the Championship. The most ambitious, realistic thing possible this season is to win the league.
  2. Mark Robins, get in. If WBA don't win, we're still top regardless of our result tomorrow night. Even a draw in that fixture would be a good result.
  3. Keane surely gone if he loses this 'un.
  4. battrick as well is the best cricket one
  5. I would imagine Gezza would replace R.Taylor if he can't make the game, although fuck knows with Butt.
  6. they must have reinforced it with steel if he's sat there, he's now phil mitchell's younger brother by the look of things
  7. I still think there should be some recognition of Sir Bobby in or around the ground, but not the renaming of a stand.
  8. Smith looked fairly good last season in the bits and bobs he featured in, although probably due to watching the Kev and Nicky masterclass for so long, it had a strange effect on my brain and therefore made Smith look like Zidane.
  9. No point us rushing Jonas back though, I'd rather he missed the next few games if it means there's less chance of him getting injured again.
  10. once again why kishhizihsh one reson too many hhhhhhhhhhh,s I like how the comma is the only punctuation in that sentence. I think cp40's bairn has registered on the forum by the look of things.

    Could this be us.

It's Liverpool, the team that when you take away torres and the diver there isn't much difference between us and them.

  13. Clemmitt makes me want to tear out my eyes. Or, better yet, tear out his intestines and then wrap them around his neck, popping his gormless baldy head off in the process. Utter twat.
  14. I would think that most of the managers we'd realistically be able to attract (and this includes Shearer) would recognize what a good job he's done and how much respect he has from the players, and keep him on in a coaching capacity. I agree with you that he deserves an ongoing role at the club.
  15. They won't go down like, but considering Bruce's teams always seem to knock off 8 or 9 games early for the summer, they could really do with getting some points now. So, hopefully they won't.
  16. Hughton might have a better offer from elsewhere on the back of this form. I personally think that Shearer would convince him to stay on in a senior coaching role or something. I get the impression that Hughton really likes it here. Although who knows, he may well get a better offer; but I don't see him getting an offer as a full time manager. He may well get offered other coaching roles but I don't see them being at anywhere neccessarily bigger than here.
  17. As much as Hughton is doing a cracking job, Shearer still needs to come in as soon as Moat buys the club. Purely because if (or probably when) we go up, Hughton isn't going to be a long term appointment, is he? Shearer needs all the experience he can get, and he might as well get it in this league. He should be fine with Dowie, Hughton etc all supporting him. If we stick with Hughton till the end of the season, win promotion and then stick Shearer in, he still has barely any managerial experience. Putting Shearer in ASAP would also allow him to start shaping the squad a little in January.
  18. That's what I thought, Hansen going senile seemingly
  19. Babayaro and Emre are still two weeks away.
