N-O Football Match - Red v Blue @ 10:30 on 18/05/19 @ Dunston Powerleague

If it is, you should just come anyway, and you might get on as a sub or whatever, we could just play rolling subs. People will be knackered playing a full 90 minutes. -
I just want Dawson to play. Cos he's shit vs Oba.

Yes Venkman, I agree. I hope you have as good a football brain anyway, I'll be linking up with you according to Stephen's lineups. Are you big striker or little striker? -

None of us will be pissed up though. In fact, in the lead-up to this event, lots of reminders and PM's to make sure people have a fiver with them to pay for the venue are needed. And could someone update the title and OP with these developments? A "see OP" in the title would be useful too. -

call it a fiver then whoever books it gets a bit of extra cash as incentive for paying in the first place? Yes, an excellent idea. -
It's here now. Wrapped and ready for Xmas!

I seriously did think Blackburn would get relegated under Ince. Was just looking at my predicted Prem table on another forum and I had Blackburn 18th, Hull 19th and WBA 20th.

£100 for 2 hours means it would be about £4.60 ish each, I'm happy to pay that. Needs to be for 2 hours. -

King Kev, why can't you just get the Metro? It isn't that far to Northumberland Uni area is it? -

It's a matter of life and death. Jokes on the board will be decided by this epic contest, this coming together, this gladitorial battle. Actually, it IS pretty darn sad how seriously myself and certain others are taking a kickabout. -
Well, apparently, his 'agent' rang in and said he was a seasoned international - so Keegan signed him purely on that basis.

Must give the credit for this idea to Stephen, but Mick (or anyone else turning up to watch) - do you fancy writing a little match report afterwards? I'll be bringing a camera to take shots of beforehand and afterwards, but I won't be taking any action shots. That's your job seemingly. Lots of people challenging for headers and tackling etc please. Match report would be totally sweet though if you fancy doing it. -
Not until he chips the keeper in a demolition of Manchester United.
-
He's been great under Kinnear. Provided Moyesy loves him, he'll be goooood.
-
His end product is still shit as always. For every teasing, lovely ball you see him put in, theres roughly eight or nine shit ones that hit the first man.
-
Oba always scores because Michael Dawson just so cannot handle him. The fact that a) Redknapp might be aware of that and b) he played well against Man U so might just keep his place fills me full of hope. I wouldn't be that devestated with a draw if I'm honest, provided it's a good draw and not one like Stoke/Wigan/City at home.

Mansion Heights? It says 'Naming Rights', as they plan to sell the name of it to a sponsor á la Arsenal and Emirates etc. f***ing hell. The Nintendo Stadium: Donkey Kong: Bowser:

The Heurelho Gomes Stand, anyone?
-
No sign of mine yet, was ordered on Tuesday afternoon. If it hasn't turned up by tomorrow I'll raise hell.

People say this a lot of the time, but the difference is that Gerrard scores goals like this consistently. Any player can have moments of pure brilliance, but it's the quality players that do it on a consistent level, week in week out. I look forward to seeing if Guthrie can maintain his form. Wow, Danny's just changed his MSN status: "is pleased his manager has recognized his good form and hopes to play even better in the near future"
-
To be honest, people weren't initially impressed for 2 main reasons: 1) As joey said above, Liverpool didn't play him much and were willing to let him go. 2) He wasn't a blockbuster signing, just a decent young player who will improve. Not what everyone really wanted.

I always had a feeling he'd be 'solid' at worst. He looked good for Bolton, and he was keeping experienced players like McCann out of the team at times.
