Now we know how Downing didn't sign for Spurs... Southgate broke his hand!

Can't disagree with any of that.

Because Capello likes to win games, even friendlies. Rob Green is more than adequate to play, I think. Capello surely needs to look at the players who will replace James after 2010, when he will most likely retire. What's your opinion? I think that James is the best English keeper by some way and that he'll be the number one for the world cup, we can rebuild afterwards. I also think that there's a lot to be said for building a winning mentality and that replacement players find it easier to come into a team when that's the case. There's an argument that players need to experience the international game, but Green's done that already and so I think the only way he should be in the team is if he's the best keeper available. I don't think he is. Fair enough, that's an understandable view. Do you think Green will be first choice after James? I personally think he will be. Carson and Robinson aren't consistent enough at club level, Hart isn't experienced enough yet, Kirkland (imo) isn't really that good and the likes of Harper will need to perform well in a string of games before getting near the team.

What is the maximum amount of subs permitted to come on in this game?

He may be a poor manager but that is simply because he isn't one. He hasn't asked to be in charge of the team, and I think your being harsh with that description of him. It's not his fault he's had to cover for our ill/stroppy/banned managers when they've pissed off. Hughton seems to work so fucking hard for this club, he's been employed doing caretaker care quite a lot, it seems to be just him and Kinnear doing training, and he seems to be getting a raw deal. Has he complained? Has he hell, he's gotten on with the job. I agree with the fact he's poor at managing the team, but now he's broken his duck, and also with Calderwood on board (managerial experience, albeit at a lower level) I'm not as pessimistic as some. Regardless of what division we're in next season, Hughton deserves a fucking massive bonus and a medal.

Hughton = going down Hughton and Calderwood = less likely we'll go down Calderwood at least has experience of managing a football team, and this time around it isn't just Hughton on his own.

Robbie Elliott was in ASDA in Benton.

That bloke at full-back for Wigan, Figueroa, he'll be the next one to be snapped up by a bigger club. Been terrific this season, gets a canny few assists for my fantasy team as well. Another Honduran from the middle of nowhere that is easily top-half-of-the-table quality.

Xisco joins Deportivo on loan until the end of the season

Maybe it was just cramp? -
Hopefully, Kinnear will continue to dip LuaLua in and out with the odd sub appearance, and then give him a full debut at the end of the season if survival is guaranteed. I wouldn't mind seeing Krul and Ranger get a go too, but that if still remains.
-
Especially considering he's been moved up and down between the three squads all season. No chance to settle in a certain team.
-
All this is happening, and Smith still hasn't had a sniff

LuaLua must be bewildered how he hasn't started a game in the first team yet. I think if he keeps this sort of form up, regardless of what division we're in, he'll be a hugely important player for us next season.
