Welbeck is heading towards the age where he needs to be the main man somewhere to really progress properly. Cabaye is so ineffective in our side I wouldn't be that cut up like, although obviously disappointed. I don't think he's quite the top midfielder he's made out to be; if he was, he'd shine through, even in our turgid set-up. Doesn't matter who replaces him, attacking midfielder or whatever, they'll be shoulder to shoulder with Steven Taylor every week in any case.

Whey, I don't think he'll be long term in the U21s. He's played 60 seconds of football all summer, he needs the minutes. I imagine he'll get a one or two month loan once the season's settled down, if not he'll be in the first 18 and getting minutes, hopefully.
