  1. "We have live commentary here, on Chelsea. Blah blah Champions League, blah blah FA Cup, blah blah Bolton/Spurs, Muamba, blah. Oh, Newcastle." I hate TalkSHITE.
  2. 9/1 on Stephen Hendry becoming a permanent QOS captain 20/1 he gets knighted
  3. NO SIMPSON AJNGBHAKLTGFJALRJAI%UJK<JMFLK?<>M CJHUYQ*I$UJKLQT
  4. Is this on any radio stations outside of Newcastle and London?
  5. Cisse FGS @ 7/1 Ben Arfa anytime GS @ 9/2 Final score 2-2 @ 14/1 Chelsea / Draw @ 18/1
  6. Osman starting for England I do like him, but starting him in the Euros? No chance. Our big problem has been imo we don't have a 'Tiote-style' defensive-midfielder to play in a 4-4-2. We've always tried Barry (too slow and limited), Parker (ditto) or shoehorned Lampard or Gerrard into uncomfortably filling that sort of role.
  7. Just looked at the score now. HA HA HA HA HA FUCKING HA
  8. A big factor that is being ignored is that Hodgson boasts varied international management experience and has managed in different countries - Redknapp has not. The experience you gain in other leagues/countries of the world is massive, as the different cultures/styles of play etc ensure you have a much wider view of how to coach etc. Of course, it's just being dismissed as "yeah but winning titles in Scandinavia means NOTHING" by the press, tossers.
  9. You sure that wasn't Jamie Redknapp?
  10. For someone who hasn't watched the press conference; is he staying on at WBA for the rest of the season, or...?
  11. He passes the buck, never takes responsibility, and this is why he irks me so much. Most of the players at the club who did that have long since gone, not that Simpson is anywhere near as bad as the likes of Owen, Duff, Viduka etc for not showing up, but it's a trait I can't fucking stand. He IS the new rent-a-quote Geordie Nation mouthpiece anarl, Steven Taylor is clearly taking a break. Can someone please give Danny a gobstopper.
  12. Betting on Liverpool at home against a team they SHOULD beat.

If we take away the goals the mags have scored that shouldn't have counted and add all the goals SAFC have scored that should have counted, we're in a European spot (that we don't even want!) marras! 9-1 FTM Mackematics.
  14. Hardly anyone seemed to win on the Manc derby. Useless Man U.

    Mackematics.
  16. We've heard that one before and the useless tosser always manages to recover.
  17. If it's a choice between Lampard and Gerrard then I'd choose Lampard every time. He should do, too. He's an excellent player to have in the squad - gives us something a bit different. I guess our strikeforce will be 4/5 from Bent, Crouch, Defoe, Rooney, Welbeck, Sturridge. I expect Defoe to miss out from that, and he'll probably take the other five and there's always the option of playing Sturridge wide.
  18. I'm a little bit excited about the England team, now. Was fully expecting Droopface to get the gig and us to watch the same old cunts drop out meekly at the round of 16.
  19. Got Rooney anytime in a Man U win at 6/1 in the shop (WH), I'm sure it was being advertised at 4s or 5s online earlier on. Tevez FGS 2-2 90/1 Scholes FGS 20/1 Man U -1 6/1 3-3 50/1
  20. Maybe we're not looking for 'special', though. We might just be looking for the right man at the right time; a bit like we did with Pardew. Nobody thought he was anything special whatsoever when we appointed him, his name was pretty much mud. Capello is undoubtedly a talented bloke and before he was appointed many would have argued he was 'special', but was he right for the England job when it really counted? Was he shite.
  21. Don't the press and the majority of football fans (the likes that don't use forums) already hold opposing views? Roy has a lot of work to do - both on and off the television. I think generally there's a lot of apathy about the England team at the moment - people will watch the game on TV, get behind them for a World Cup/Euros but show a high level of indifference because 'well we're always shit when it counts'. Nail on head. I'll cheer them on as much as the next person in the summer but can I say I'm really proud of the national team? Not really, no. Just so many loathsome characters. I remember GG saying something to me ages ago that he'd "genuinely rather watch Watford Ladies U18's win a throw-in" than see England win a tournament, which isn't a bad summary. People have long since stopped giving a fuck, because when it counts, the team (and often the manager) are a pile of bottling shitcunts.
  22. Rooney/Man U wincast tomorrow at 5/1 with WH looks incredibly tempting. The draw @ 2/1 is also something I'm considering.

  24. Roy would make the England team a lot more popular, I think. You can't help but want the guy to do well. We might actually do quite well, too. I like the way his teams are set up - solid but with pace, usually.
