I don't understand why Swansea can't adopt different techniques for gaining leads/competing in games and use the most appropriate one. He's got the players sorted out excellently for the possession football, and it's absolutely ideal for defending a lead. I can't see much other use for it though, unless they get a more incisive midfield player and a top-quality forward into their system.

The problems for me are 1) they have no real Plan B and 2) if they concede an early goal like today, the passing it round the back thing is more of a detriment than it is a benefit, particularly if the opposition are organised in defence and midfield like we were. Plus, it is quite dull to watch.

The three people I have money on - McIlroy, Westwood and Dufner are all going well so far. It's promising.

He did a good job today helping to shut down Swansea's right flank.

I'm going to bet on them to get relegated next season. I think they've been found out a bit now, and they'll suffer for it next year.

Krul 7 - only tested from long range and dealt with everything well Simpson 7 - coming into some form, thankfully Williamson 7 - ditto Simpson, looked good again today. Was impressed, thought he was unlucky with the booking too Perch 8 - some great tackles as ever and good with possession Santon 8 - one of his best games imo. Excellent defensively Tiote 6.5 - Allen got past him a bit easily for my liking. Did okay Cabaye 8 - two exquisite passes for the goals, otherwise did alright Gutierrez 6 - won freekicks that helped to stem the flow but otherwise looked a bit lost in the centre at times Ba 6 - good graft as ever but he looks a bit short on confidence and absolutely shagged. Could do with a rest ideally Ben Arfa 6.5 - didn't get the ball enough but showed some nice touches and did well in glimpses Cisse 9 - fantastic in attack and defence. Matchwinner (and for me, betwinner!) R.Taylor 6.5 - one daft clearance aside he did fine, thought it was odd him sitting in the middle but it worked Ferguson 6 - nullified Rangel on the right flank quite nicely. Finished off the work Ba was doing Gosling 6 - slotted in fine, one particularly impressive run down the flank

I'd gan Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon; Perch, Cabaye, Gutierrez; Ba, Ben Arfa, Cisse (in the current 4-3-3) - assuming Tiote isn't fit to play and Colo is.

Swansea were always going to boss possession seeing as it was at their place, and Pards recognised this. Got his tactics spot on imo and we defended incredibly well, and took our chances with in the clinical way we have been of late. Was a bit 'AAH' about R.Taylor replacing Tiote but we looked no worse for it. Glad Demba got a rest too.
