1708: A striker HAS left Newcastle today. But not THAT one, yet. According to BBC Newcastle, 24-year-old Spanish striker Xisco has brought his deeply disappointing two-and-a-half year stint on Tyneside to an end and re-signed for Deportivo La Coruna after just 11 appearances and one goal for the Magpies.

Really felt as of this morning that he was off. Hopefully Liverpool decide they can't afford to pay more.

Abdoulaye Faye is a great one. Everyone talks about that game where James McFadden ran rings around him but that one game aside he was excellent for us.

No Djalo is like Nani but even more inconsistent and not as talented. We also can't sign Puncheon. We can, he's on 'emergency loan' and that doesn't count towards the no more than 2 clubs rule. I think Puncheon and Ireland would be a canny deadline day but I'd still feel slightly disappointed that we haven't added a striker.

If Adam leaves Blackpool then that could be the 'biggest' transfer of the day, because without him they will go down imo.
